About Me
Welcome to Littlesteps, my name is Liz and I work in the Timperley area of Trafford where I have provided expert childcare from home for the last 23years+.
I realise that children don’t generally take giant leaps but rather little steps in becoming their own little person, and I realise that for the children that stay with me I am privileged to play a small, fun and yet important part in that journey.
I am a registered childminder with Ofsted and an Accredited childminder, which means I am able to accept the 3yr+ funding from the Government. I also accept childcare vouchers, from employers, Government vouchers, assuming parents are registered with an appropriate scheme.
I offer a service for parents who want both experienced and expert childcare.
My Experience
I have worked for 27+ years in a childcare environment working in nurserys, and childminding. So I can draw on a vast amount of experience working with children and helping them to enjoy themselves and learn along the way. Children have a wide range of different needs and with this in mind it may be that other health professionals need to work with them and their families and as such I would be able to continue the good work with them, as I have done in the past, to provide the best care and lots of new friends.
In the end children need to have lots of laughs and lots of fun!! They can then learn all the other stuff through a happy and playful time.
My Qualifications
I originally qualified as an NNEB but I have since updated this with relev
ant NVQ's Level 3 in childcare and Early Years Foundation Stage [EYFS]. In addtion I am a Quality Assured childminer through the Trafford Borough Council SureStart scheme. This additional kite mark means I have to committ to at least 2hrs training on average per week; the training covering all aspects of childcare, development and safety.
My Availability
I have immediate full time and part time vacancies available, due to the natural eb and flow of children in my care moving through the school years.

Liz looked after our daughter for about 9 months while we were living in Timperley. It was great to see how much she learned in her time there.
