About Me
I am a Ofsted registered Childminder who lives in Abbey Wood. My service could be very flexible, accommodating early mornings, late evenings and school holidays. My priorities are children's happiness and safety. My philosophy is working in partnership with parents/carers. In my care I offer individual attention to every child by promoting age appropriate activities and learning, caring for child's personal needs. My home setting is a relaxed fun and safe environment with plenty of room and lots of toys and resources. Here children can play and learn whilst develop their skills, surrounded with love and support. During the day I provide healthy snacks, fruits and homemade meals. I also encourage appropriate rest/sleep and outdoor activities. Visits to the "stay & play" sessions, parks and playgrounds, library and local businesses are part of our everyday experiences.
Please feel free to contact me and discuss your individual childcare requirements and my competitive fees. I am registered for Tax-free childcare provided by the Government for working parents. Also, I accept childcare vouchers and government funding for 2, 3 and 4 years olds.
My Experience
I have almost 20 years experience working with children different age as nanny/babysitter, nursery nurse/nursery officer, assistant at morning/afternoon school clubs and childminder.

My Availability
There are availability for full/part time or mornings/afternoon sessions. Furthermore, I could provide “school terms only” childcare.
I also do school drop off and pick-up (Alexander McLeod primary) + school holidays activities.

Nelly is kind, caring and has a wealth of experience in looking after small children - and it really shows. When looking for a childminder two years ago, Nelly welcomed us visiting her and we instantly felt at ease; her house is a safe, nurturing and exciting environment for children to learn and feel at home.
When our daughter’s grandfather suddenly became very poorly and unexpectedly passed away, Nelly made sure that our daughter was cared for, felt loved and that she knew she could share how she was feeling. At such a traumatic time in our lives we couldn’t have asked for more.
Nelly goes the extra mile for birthdays, holidays and special events - and any other reason to have fun! Our daughter is particularly fond all the crafts and making, the library visits, playtime in the garden and all the trips to different local parks in the summer. An added bonus is the nutritious (and very reasonably priced) meals that Nelly provides - every day our daughter tells us how delicious her lunch was!
We recommend Jelly Nelly most highly to you.

I have a great pleasure to say that Nelly has been a great childminder. My 4 years old learnt a lot from her. My husband and I both feel very assured while my child is with Nelly. She is very professional and have great layout for children to play around and do the various activities. She also take children out to various places if weather is kind including Library, park and Toy Library.
My child became more independent under her guidance, learnt so many important things for example, road rules, pointing out the country on a map etc.
I would highly recommend Nelly to everyone who are thinking of choosing a childminder in and around Abbeywood Area.
We can't thank enough to Nelly what she has been meant to us and our child. God bless!!

Nelly is an amazing childminder, really knows her job very well. I feel very safe to leave my 3 old son with her and we both very happy to have her in our life.
