My name is Amanda and I am a professional, qualified Ofsted registered nanny working in Bristol. I am self-employed and work part time. I have been working with children for over 25 plus years. I have worked at a school, pre-schools, forest school, nurseries and I had my own Childminding business 6 years ago. I am so lucky to have some great references that I am happy to share with you when we meet.
I am married and we have two grown up children, we also have a lovely little dog named Daisy. I am a kind, caring and creative person who adores working and being around children of all ages. I'm always happy to help and can provide a loving, supportive environment to all the children in my care. I am also happy to care for your dog too. I am all about supporting and encouraging a child’s physical, mental and emotional well-being. I enjoy story telling, playing games, art and crafts and spending time outdoors, I love all that the outside brings. What ever your child's interests, I'm happy to join in and share in with their fun and learning.
I offer parents the peace of mind that comes with knowing that their children are being taken care of in a responsive, nurturing way. You would be able to go to work knowing their child is safe with a nanny who has many years experience caring for children.
My Experience
I have a great deal of experience while working with children of all ages over the years. I have worked with a wide range of needs with both children and adults. I also ran my own Child-minding setting 6 years ago. I have gained experience while working as a support worker, in nurseries, a school, pre-schools, forest school and in community care. Oh and raising two sons (which is my proudest moment yet)
As a nanny I have worked with some lovely families across Bristol.
Presently, I provide care as a nanny with 2 families, I also provide ad hoc childcare for a few more families.
Light house keeping tasks are also apart of my role
My Qualifications
*I am paediatric first aid trained
*I have a level 3 qualification in childcare.
* Level 2 qualification in child protection and safeguarding children .
*Qualification in food hygiene and food safety.
*Qualification Makaton level one
I have other certificates that are child related.
My Availability
I am available from June. Days available are Wednesday and Thursday.

Mandy has been caring for our 1 year old daughter for several months now and we can't recommend her highly enough. She is lovely with our child, and makes a massive effort to provide high quality care for her. She is also lovely to spend time with and helpful around the house. She provided us with all the necessary paperwork before starting and some brilliant recommendations.

Mandy is fantastic. She is everything you could want for your child: loving, caring, kind... I can't recommend her enough.

Having never used a childminder before, we were both apprehensive and realised the importance of making the right decision for our child.
Mandy is friendly , personable and professional. Our daughter loves spending two days a week with her and is always happy to go there. She does lots of different activities and attends playgroups.
I would recommend Mandy to anyone as we think she's fantastic with our child.
