About Me
Hi I am an 'OUTSTANDING' Ofsted Registered childminder. My name is Linda I live with my husband in the Oxton/Prenton area and we have two grown up children a girl and a boy . I work alongside two assistants who have vast experience in Childcare and regularly update training. Working with assistants allows more flexibility to provide an inclusive service and enables us to pick up and drop children off at pre-schools and primary schools within the local area.
Our setting was awarded Outstanding for the third time in our latest Ofsted inspection which was on Monday 11th November 2019. I have also recently passed a foundation Degree in Childcare and Education.
We have a lovely playroom which is filled with excellent resources .
Our setting also boasts a very large outdoor area which has undercover areas for continuous outdoor provision
Our outdoor area also includes a cabin for childcare which has bi-fold doors so the children can be in the fresh air but out of direct sun.
The children can float between the outdoor area and the cabin which has drink and snack facilities.
I hold a full UK driving licence and have a Zafira people carrier which is fully insured for business use and fitted with appropriate child car seats. I use the car to take the children out on trips.
I belong to a local child-minding Network and have undertaken all the necessary paperwork and I am an Accredited Childminder which means I can. provide free two three four year old funding if you meet the necessary criteria . We will be providing the 30 hours funding from September if you are in receipt of it .
Our aim at Lindylous is to make sure your child enjoys and achieves in a safe, happy and fun Learning environment whilst ensuring we follow the Early Foundation Stage.
I am a member of the Forest Childcare Association and am committed to giving small children the opportunity to spend time in the great outdoors on a regular basis. Forest Childcare can help to:
• Teach children to appreciate trees, fields, ponds and woods by spending time in the natural environment
• Improve emotional and physical wellbeing of children and the adults who look after them
• Improve children’s concentration, perseverance, cooperation and motivation skills
• Help children to stay fit and counter obesity because children move around naturally outdoors while they play
• Let off steam
• Provide opportunities for developing harmonious relationships with others, through negotiation, taking turns and cooperation
• Improve physical skills gained from opportunities to run and balance
• Build knowledge and understanding of the world
• Provide rich opportunities for imagination, inventiveness and resourcefulness

Our Fees are as follows:
Full day £44
Half Day £29.00
After School £10.00
Before School £7.50 per hour
We give special rates for school age children who require holiday care please enquire.
We also offer term time only care for School teachers or anyone else who requires term time.
Discounts are given for siblings.
The fees above are flexible so please don't hesitate to call . At Lindylous we feel that we can cater for everyone's individual needs.

My son who is 18months has only been with linda for four weeks and i am so proud of how quick he has settled and how happy he is going in seeing all his friends. Linda and her fabulous team have worked wonders on my son and i am already seeing him develop and hitting different milestones, such as counting and colouring. Linda has made it so much easier for me to go to work and i would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you for all you have done linda. X

How lovely Thankyou .He is a pleasure to care for your little boy has fitted in so well I feel like he is part of the family he is so happy and content.
He enjoys coming and knows the names of most of the other children .
My children attended Lindylou's for a couple of years beginning full time school. Both myself parter and children were so sad to leave such a great setting! Nothing was too much for Lindylou's and it was so lovely to see the excitement on their faces as we pulled up each morning. The variety of activities was fantastic and made me wish I was a child again!

My children have belonged to Lindylou's child-minding services for 8 years and they continue to attend before and after school and during school holidays. During this time the care and love provided from Linda and her staff has been above and beyond anything I ever anticipated and without them I would not have been able to progress in my studies. My children began at Lindylou's when I made the decision to return to Education and I commenced a full time course within my local College, Upon completion of this I needed to progress to Degree status and this was all dependent upon flexible childcare. I discussed my concerns with Linda and the support was phenomenal and they pretty much wrote my application for me!
In addition to the wonderful service the setting is fantastic and extremely welcoming and they are constantly striving to improve and offer their very best. The connections with the local primary schools encourage extensive friendship groups amongst the children and I am at ease that when my children approach secondary school they will have plenty of familiar faces around them. A simple thank you can not express my appreciation for your support, and I will be forever grateful.
