About Me

I am an Ofsted Registered Child-minder in Kennington, Ashford, Kent rated GOOD again by Ofsted in 2019.
I offer the government funding and all outings are included in my hourly fees.
My setting is within walking distance of a large park and I have a garden and large playroom. We go on regular outings to toddler and childminding groups where the children can socialise and do craft activities/free play. We also make regular trips to the local library and one of the local farms, play-centres and local parks. All these trips are included in my fees.
I provide cold packed lunches and snacks for a small extra fee. Parents are welcome to provide their own food for their children.
Children have the option to take part in craft activities, messy play, sand/water play, play-dough, painting, baking, threading, and much more while gearing learning towards their interests.
My Experience
I have had a lot of experience of caring for children through raising my own four children who have enjoyed the experience of meeting and playing with the children I care for.
My childminding experience has taught me how to develop and occupy children from babies through to senior school following the EYFS programme.
I have experience with asthma and allergies through my own children and myself.
I have been graded as GOOD by Ofsted in August 2019 and have been registered since April 2013. I have passed many courses recently including Improving Children’s Learning Through Play,Supporting Early Language Development and Safeguarding. I have current Pediatric First Aid Training.
My Qualifications
In order to become a child minder I attended the Child minding Pre-Registration Course in 2012. Topics covered were Child Protection, Learning and Development, Assessment, Keeping Children Safe and Healthy, Record Keeping and Starting a home based childcare service. I have an up-to-date First Aid Certificate and Safeguarding Certificate.
Foundation Degree in Childcare and Management passed in 2024.

Lisa has been looking after my 3yo for around 2 years now and my 6yo when she's on holiday from school. They both love going to Lisa's house and enjoy all of the activities and outings she arranges. Lisa is very caring and all ages of children seem comfortable in her setting. Highly recommended. Extra touches such as a regular newsletter are great too.
