About Me
After 17 years of London life as a nanny, I relocated to the sunny North East, where I've been working as a nanny for over 5 years now.
I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic and optimistic nanny, with over twenty years of child care experience, including caring for babies, twins, toddlers and young children, adapting quickly to the specific needs of different households. This is due to the fact that I have worked for both mono-cultural (English) and multi-cultural (Russian, French, Greek, American and Hungarian) households.
I am Ofsted registered and have worked both as a live-in and as a day nanny.
Over the last 20 years I have built on my passion for child care by exploring different approaches to children's education. I qualified as a Primary teacher in my native Hungary.
I firmly believe that the first five years of a child's life are absolutely vital, in terms of developing their future health, happiness, personal growth and learning achievements.
I love preparing fresh and nutritious meals from scratch, organising play dates and other social activities for the children in my charge. I am physically fit (a keen swimmer; I practise yoga daily), a pianist who idolises Chopin and Mozart, as well as an art lover. I relish taking children into the fresh air, making music with them and face-painting. Even more beautiful than any composer's music is the laughter of happy children!
I would describe myself as patient, understanding, tolerant and extremely passionate about my work.

Sophie did an amazing job looking after our 4 month old and 3 year old. As a mother of an infant, I was a bit nervous leaving her, but upon meeting Sophie, I knew my 4 month old was in good hands. She was warm, kind and gentle. There were moments where I would catch Sophie singing lovely lullabies to my little one. She was also incredible with our 3 year old. Upon meeting her, Sophie took out a ballon from her purse, blew it up, and started tossing the ballon around with her. My toddler is very shy and it takes a long time for her to warm up to others but she immediately took to Sophie because of her fun and loving nature. So Sophie was both gentle and warm to our infant and fun and bubbly with our toddler. What better combo can you ask for! I wouldn’t hesitate to ask Sophie to look after our girls again, she’s amazing!

Sophie was just what we were looking for in a nanny. Over the past nearly 2 years she has built a really strong and nurturing relationship with our youngest child (from ages 2-4) and he adores her. She has also cared for our older child (now 6) on days during school holidays and sometimes picked her up from school- our older child always looks forward to having her ‘Sophie time’ too. What better recommendation could there be than two happy children?
We hired Sophie during lockdown and she became one of the few people we saw consistently, so our relationship with her became all the more important.
She listens to our child, she actively plays with him, she tries to build play around his interests, she reads with him and she has taken him on hundreds of walks and adventures in nature from woodland to gardens to fields- this has been his favourite thing. And amidst all their adventures Sophie always prepares healthy and tasty meals for him (and us sometimes!) and often involves him in baking and cooking.
In more recent times (when we have been less Covid cautious) Sophie has taken him to toddler groups and on play dates with contacts she’s met locally, which he’s also loved.
Sophie has become part of our family and will remain a friend for the future with whom we will absolutely keep in touch.

I was so nervous having to leave my daughter with a nanny before and after school while i was at work but with Sophies glowing references i gave it a try. I was put at ease almost instantly, regular picture updates and information throughout the day. Both my girls absolutely love her and can't thank her enough for everything she has done and is doing for us.

Zsofia watched my twin babies for nearly a year. She was a brilliant nanny and the children love her dearly. She's very skilled in her job. She was kind, fair, and very nurturing to their needs. She also watched my toddler daughter when needed.

Myself and my husband met Sophie at a few local parent/toddler groups. Our daughter (2yrs) was drawn to her fun, friendly, bubbly personality straight away and they became firm friends. We have used Sophie to nanny and babysit for a few months now and couldn't be happier with her. She has a great view and philosophy when it comes to kids which fits very well with us. We would thoroughly recommend her for any nannying position.

Zsofie is energetic, passionate about children and childcare, reliable and a great cook. Sociable and always enthusiastic, my children love her and she engages with little ones really well. Her English is perfect and so would be able to support children learning to read and write. She is very experienced. I would recommend her as a nanny.

Dear parents! I would recommend Sophie as a trustworthy nanny for your kids. She looked after my two very active and demanding boys. She organized their daily routine; including playtime, meals, outside walks. She took them to various playgroups and activities; picked up the eldest from the part time nursery; followed their sleeping routine; cooked great meals and overall entertained them. My kids loved spending time with her and let me go to work without crying :) Meet her!
