Over 21 years' experience.
Ofsted rated GOOD at last inspection. I am registered to care for children from new born to 16 but I now only care for early years children and don't do school run anymore.
I am insured with Childcare.co.uk
I also have full DBS checks for me and the members of my family. These documents are available to view at my setting along with other documents which can be seen when you visit.
I provide a friendly home from home environment following the same curriculum as nurseries providing activities to help your child`s development through the EYFS framework.
I have been told by previous families that I am very intuitive to children's needs, bringing on speech and communication has been one of my strongest points.
The setting comprises of a well laid out playroom that leads out to the garden where there is a playhouse, ride on toys, sand and water play and a caterpillar play tunnel climb on toy.
We go out every day and also visit local play places and playgroups.
We are very lucky to be surrounded by green spaces here and lots for children to explore.
We visit the local woods and park, we go for walks along the newly renovated river path to see the cows and wildlife.
We regularly visit Martin Mere wetland centre, Jollies barn and other play centres which are not far away but we get to by car so your child will be travelling in our car occasionally i have various car seats for different weights of child that are regularly checked and updated.
My Experience
21 years in childcare previously I worked in a play centre and a short time in a nursery which helped me to decide id like to become a childminder.
I’ve looked after children with additional needs ADHD and autism, children with English as a second language.
I am so proud of all my minded children. I am still in contact with a few families and they occasionally send photos of how they are getting on I've enjoyed being part of their lives and love seeing what they are doing now. I love helping the children gain confidence and learn while having fun.

Forest Childcare is about giving children the opportunity to spend time in the great outdoors on a regular basis. Den building, welly walks and learning about nature and the world of wildlife around us.
The framework is the core document for all childcare professionals working in the foundation stage, the EYFS framework gives parents the confidence that regardless of where they choose nursery or childminders for their child's early education, they can be assured that the same statutory commitments and principles will underpin their child's learning and development.

I can accommodate flexibility where needed and charge by the hour.
I accept childcare vouchers, tax free childcare payments, childcare grant for university students I am registered with Care to learn and offer the government funded childcare
from 9 months to age 4 or school start.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
£5.00 per hour.
Fee includes meals, snacks and entrance admission for play centres and packed lunches for days out.

Julie has looked after 3 of my boys on different occasions, my oldest son then further down line my twins.
All 3 come on leaps and bounds in Julie’s care, very home from home environment. My boys are older now but still remember Julie and are very fond of her, so much so they ask to still go visit her 😅

Julie started looking after my little boy towards the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic, and right from the beginning, Edward settled perfectly even though he had only been with me and his Dad at home. There have never been any tears from him, just a very obvious show of affection and love towards Julie from Edward.
Edward has been catered for so impressively for, whether it be from a fantastic food menu to activities that have helped him progress and exceed on the EYFS framework.
Julie is amazing and I have her to thank for my very chatty, outgoing and confident near 2 year.

Julie has looked after both of my boys and they love going.
I highly recommend Julie we have never had any isses . She worked wonders on youngest child speech it has come on so much.

Julie has worked wonders for my little boy. He had some communication issues and Julie worked with him so he started talking and became less frustrated as a result. Every time Julie was minding for me and I told Freddie, he would run to the door and was so excited - he would bolt to give Julie a cuddle when we arrived. Julie really looked after my child as if he was her own; you can tell how much she loves the kids and how much they love her in return. Julie has always been reliable, highly communicative and is the consummate professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone - it's a rare thing these days to find someone who address the educational needs of a child mentally, emotionally and socially combined with the love and attention that any parent would give. Just exceptional!

Julie started to look after my daughter age 8-9months up to her age of 2-3. She absolutely enjoyed every minute with her. My daughter was born with a heart condition and she has had a heart surgery when she was 5 days old. I was looking for someone experience who had a first aid training and was confident with what to do in case of emergency due to my daughter health. Julie was excellent! She showed me her knowledge of her first aid and explained it to me what would be her steps if there was an issue with my child. I wasn't worried at all when my daughter was with her. That's why when I had my second child I never looked for anyone else but her. Julie, recently, was also looking after my son and again. He had a fantastic time. He learned a lot English songs (as being from different country I couldn't myself as did not know all). He developed very well during this time with Julie and was ready to go to school this September so sadly we had to leave her. I had never had any trouble with anything but more Julie was the one that always gave me advise and if I had any worries about my son development she would assure me that he was fine. I would highly recommend Julie. She is a fantastic childminder.
