I am 37 year old Ofsted registered childminder living in the Townhill area. Previously I was a fully qualified science teacher.
I live with my 10 year old son, 7 and 2 year old daughters, along with my partner who works alongside me as my assistant. I moved to Southampton a number of years ago to complete my zoology degree at the university and fell in love in the area so never left.
I have since worked in South Africa with local schools and conservation centers, I finished my Science post graduate certificate in education qualification specializing in physics and gained my qualified teacher status. Since qualifying I have taught science in a variety of secondary schools and tutored many lovely children, ages ranging from 8 to 16 in the core subjects, science, English and math with great success.
I have my NCFE Cache level 3 childminding qualification and paediatric first training. I am an Ofsted registered childminder and childmind in my own home. I have an enclosed grass and patio back garden. I have a large spacious play room/ area approx. 36M SQUARE with a variety of toys and resources. Large family car with a full license so able to offer day trips.
I was graded in November 2019 by OFSTED as "GOOD" in all areas.
My aim is to provide high quality care and education for children of all age groups. To work in partnership with parents and other practitioners to help children to learn and develop; to add to the life and well-being of the local community and to offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
I can offer:
Funded care for 2,3 and 4 year old- wrap around only
Breakfast club for school children at £4.25 including breakfast and drop off
Wrap around school care (before and after school)

Jennie recently looked after my ten month old son for whole day child care, as soon as I met her I felt instantly at ease in her company and was reassured by her thorough discussion of her procedures and registration. Everyday when I dropped my son off he would be smiling and very happy to see her children who were a delight also. She has a lovely open setting at home and takes the little ones out to groups and for walks during the day (weather permitting!). She also provided a day by day diary on what they’d been up to and how my son had gotten on during the day. Really was a pleasure, thank you again!
