About Me
Hello My name is Carrieann, I am an OFSTED registered childminder.
I live in Alvaston, Derby with my Husband and 2 children aged 1 and 7. We have also have a labrador and a cat. They are both very good with children.
My whole house is registered for childminding. I have a good sized garden for the children to play in and have lots of other green spaces in the area for us to visit. I am a short walk away from Alvaston park and Elvaston Castle.
I have been working with children for the past 17 years within schools, nurseries pre-schools and as a sole-charge nanny.
Childcare is my passion, I ensure that lots of fun is bought to children's life, stimulating them with an array of activities that will help within all areas of development.
We attend different groups within the area. This will allow your children to interact with plenty of other children. We also reguarly go to local parks, outdoor spaces, farms and other places of interest.
I provide lots of opportunities for the children I care for to take part in lots of different creative activities. Making and creating things is a great hobby of mine.

My Experience
I have my ba honours degree in early childhood studies and am first aid trained.
I have over 15 years professional experience working within childcare, ranging from schools, playschools, babysitting, nannying and event care. Caring for babies from newborn upto the age of 12.
I worked in a pre-school from 2008 until 2012 caring for children from 2 upto 4. Here I implemented the EYFS to plan activities and observe the development of children in my care, whilst providing a safe stimulating and caring environment.
I worked as a nanny from January 2011 until the beginning of 2017. Looking after the children over many years seeing them learn and grow was a very rewarding experience.
I have then worked as a childminder since 2017.

Carrieann has tended to my little boys every need for the last few months. I highly recommend her! I am a very nervous mum and found it difficult to trust my own family to look after my son. I was so nervous about being without him and how he would be without me, but carrieann was so understanding and tailored a little plan around us as a family so that he transitioned in easily. He absolutely adores her and she's always doing really fun things with him. She reads with him, helps him to paint, helps him to explore things through sensory. She also takes him to the park, to music time, she cooks really healthy meals, they're always up to something good. I literally don't know how she does it... she's very efficient, let's me know how he is, takes pictures for me when I worry, or just want to see how he is... Honestly, she's a lovely, nurturing kind lady, they both are and I trust her fully with my son :)
