About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder in N2, short walking distance to East Finchley station as well as Muswell Hill.
Childcare is provided in a big house with a nice dowstairs space separated into 2 playrooms with plenty of construction toys, puzzles, role play areas such as shopkeeping, kitchen garage and baby corner and nice book corner where children relax listening to chosen story. Big hit of the setting is our soft play corner with the ball pit.
We have also a good size dining area where children sit to do crafts aswell as eat their home cooked meals and snacks. We have a good size garden with plenty of outside equipments such as bikes, scooters, slide, rocking horses, sandpit, waterpit, playhouse and climbing frame.
Environment I am providing is very warm, caring, full of fun and happiness.
Childcare became my profession, therefore I can promise to provide the best possible care for your child. I have been working with an assistants for the past 11 years but as of September 2021, I’ll be working on my own with a small group of children enjoying variety of activities inside aswell as outside the house.
My Experience
I have been working with children from 3months up to 13 years old and most of my families had more children, therefore used to having more children at the same time. I have also 2 of my own children born September 2016 and January 2021.

We really cannot overstate how amazing our experience was with Lucia. She is warm and welcoming and our child was extremely happy with her, enjoying the toys, socialising with the other children, eating her delicious home-cooked food and generally thriving in the love and care which pervade the setting. We feel very lucky as a family to have had Lucia and her family as part of our story. Thank you, Lucia!

From day one I knew my little boy (age 2 when he started with Lucia) would be happy at Lucia's. Her setting has the space and resources of a nursery with the warmth of a family home.
Very quickly my little boy settled well, happily going to Lucia 2 days per week. On the few occasions he had a wobble, just one cuddle with her would calm him down and I always left feeling reassured. He bonded so well, not only with Lucia but also her two boys and her husband who were always so kind.
My son was not a very consistent eater at home but always ate brilliantly with Lucia - especially her vegetable soup with noodles! He always napped easily with her too despite struggling at home.
Lucia's communication was fantastic. She gave me a verbal update at the end of each day, as well as updates and photos on Tapestry. Her invoicing was incredibly clear and she would get back to me very fast if I had questions or needed to make changes.
I cannot recommend Lucia highly enough. Her care couldn't have been a better start away from me for my little boy. He has now started school nursery very easily with lots of confidence and I've no doubt I have Lucia to thank for that.

Lucia’s setting is immaculate, organised, and from the moment you enter, you can tell she runs a tight ship! The setting is cosy and welcoming and right away our daughter felt comfortable and at home. Lucia is warm and approachable and knows how to connect with little ones almost immediately upon meeting. Our daughter loved going to Lucia’s house, was always happy to arrive, and upon pick up for the rest of the evening - she was happy and in a great mood, which was enough to tell me she’d had a great day. Communication was as frequent as was necessary. We were so lucky to have crossed paths with Lucia and even though we moved away, I feel we will keep in touch. Just have all good feelings about this setting and have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Lucia to other families. She made every effort to make sure our daughter had a positive experience. We are so grateful.

Our little girl (third baby so experienced all kinds of childcare settings) was lucky enough to start going to Lucia’s when she turned one last October. I could not have asked for anything more from Lucia and her lovely family to make our daughter feel so at home while being looked after in the most caring, fun and happy environment. Lucia is a true natural when it comes to caring for children; always smiling and thinking of fun activities to do but at the same time teaching valuable and important skills from a young age. Our daughter has learned so many things while being in Lucia’s care and having seen different childcare settings, I can honestly say this one was by far the easiest and nicest for us all to get used to. Home cooked meals, quiet sleeping environment in proper cots, sandpit in the garden and stimulating toys inside; very happy kids and thus parents!

Honestly, words cannot express how fantastic and caring Lucia and her team (Shauna and Anna) have been looking after my daughter.
I was particularly drawn to Lucia’s childminding setting because it offered a true home from home experience for my daughter. The time, attention focus and care which is provided to all of the children who attended is second to none. It truly felt like having a wider extended family.
My daughter truly thrived whilst being at Lucia’s setting and always came home with so much to talk about how she spent her day doing loads of creative and fun activities with her friends. I honestly couldn’t fault anything and my daughter being at Lucia’s setting gave me total peace of mind.
Lucia uses Tapestry to ensure parents can follow the development and progress of their children. It was always a highlight of mine during work to get notified on email by Tapestry that Lucia and her team had uploaded an update for my daughter and see pictures of the things she’d been up to previously.
Another huge plus was the quality and variety of the meals provided for the children. Always homemade! My daughter was always happy. A huge plus when you collect your child knowing that they’ve been well fed and are content.
I would highly recommend Lucia’s setting with all of my heart. You and your little one will not be disappointed.

I was looking for someone who will pay as much as I will do to my baby -
My first daughter started with Lucia when she was 4months old. Lucia Ana and Shauna have been the best They have been giving love, attention to details... everything that my kid needed
Margot have grown there and have been joined by her little sister in jan 2020
Here you will find a loving home environment where all attention is given to your kid. As there is kids from baby to pre-school they learn from older kids and grow to become the loving oldest one
They do learn a lot in term of languages letters maths living together caring ... they create a bubble of friendship where kids grow together and become friends for life
Here you have the benefit of childminder with attentions of details and personalised care and the benefits of nursery where kids grow together and learn from each other -
It’s the perfect size settling perfect environment
Lucia used tapestry so you have a regular update on what’s going on but also she is very flexible she will update you regularly in the day when you left your baby during the day she will follow your lead and makes sure that you kids is happy
In term of food she cooks everything and it’s healthy and organic !
I can’t recommend Lucia more and I wish she would have moved with me !

I found Lucia after my previous childminder went back to Spain. My daughter went to Lucia's for about two years and she absolutely loved it! She still asks when am I going back to Lucia's?'
Lucia has built a strong nurturing team with her lovely two assistants Shauna and Anna. They are so professional and lovely, the children have a great time when they're there and they also learn lots! I can't recommend Lucia enough, she is a very warm, thoughtful and professional person. Anyone would be lucky to have their children looked after by her and by her assistants.

Lucia and her assistants Shauna and Anna are such wonderful carers! My boys went to Lucia's for almost 5 years between them, and I couldn't have wished for a better childminder. Lucia's was the perfect blend of a mini nursery (with a variety of children to socialise with, and lots of activities scheduled) and a home caring environment where they had consistency of care with the same people over a number of years. My youngest son started there when he was 7 months old and it was such a relief to find somewhere that I knew could give him the individual care he needed in a home environment. Lucia was thoughtful about accommodating his food and play preferences and caring about easing him into a routine. We got regular feedback on how my sons were progressing and very detailed reports on their Early Years progress. My boys were very happy there for a number of years and we still keep in touch as they are part of our family!

My daughter stayed almost a year with Lucia and she would stay much longer if she would not reach her pre-school age. She is rather shy and not adapt on new environment and people.Here the settling was absolutely smooth and she clearly enjoyed the new place from day one. The fantastic trio of Lucia, Anna and Shauna have made her everyday in nursery feel special and accomplished and she has learned so much. Not only in the areas of "Early Years Foundation", but also in the social area. She found her first real friends here and it was so naturally supported by Lucia and her assistants. They also clearly operated as an extended family and helped us throughout all challenges like potty training, sleep training etc. When I was going through a high risk pregnancy and complication after birth of our son, they helped much beyond their childminder responsibilities. True home out of home and the best first experience with childcare for our daughter.! We are keen to have our newborn son there too.

As my husband said there is not enough stars to rate Lucia's place.
My daughter Matilda enjoyed a lot and made friends and was happy there.
I recommend for everyone who wants to have home environment for their children. Great start for social life for kid aswell.
