An Ofsted Registered child minder, with great flexible childcare to suit you!!
My name is Vanessa, and been with my husband nearly 13 years. We have have 3 children of our own.
I have 2 separate playrooms for the kids which they absolutely love! This includes a range of toys for all ages so I know they will never be bored! It also allows the kids to learn things on many different ways.
The playroom is also a sensory room, it has LED lighting around the ceiling, mood lights around the room, disco lights for parties, sensory fish tank, led fibre optic lights, a sensory box and a large black den!
We also have a garden which allows room for the kids to run around in with our amazing artificial grass! We have various bikes, mud kitchen, sand pit, climbing equipment etc
I am only a 5 minute walk from the local schools, a 2 minute walk from the park, and right on a bus route. I am also just off the motorway which can also be handy for some parents. I really believe and push outdoor play for children. Kids will be taken outdoors every day at some point for something. Whether it be to do a bit of their own shopping, for a run around at the park or just for some fresh air in the garden.
I feel that I can provide a great service for a competitive price also with the facilities that I have. Good quality care for your kids isn't always about the cheapest option, but the best care and education for your own children. I feel that I can give you both excellent care, and also for a great price.
I work with an amazing team and have amazing staff! We also offer babysitting services too.
My Experience
My main experience and the one that I feel is most relevant is through having my own kids. It teaches you so many different skills and the best way to work with children.
My aim is to also have a good relationship with you as the parent//carer as I feel it is so important for us to work together to bring the best out in your child.
After enjoying doing childminding for now for nearly 10 years still love it just as much!
I Also did my diploma in level 3 workforce in early years and my level 5 in leadership within early years which I loved doing and learnt so much!
My Qualifications
I have the following qualifications which will be continually updated in accordance with new courses and requirements.
- Paediatric First Aid
- Introduction to Home-based childcare practice.
- Ofsted registered GOOD in ALL areas.
- Safeguarding/ child protection introductory training session.
- Updated on the revised EYFS
- Unit one of the CACHE level 3 certificate in child-minding.
- Food hygiene and 5 STAR Hygiene rating
- A2yo (Achieving 2 year olds.)
- Diploma in Early years workforce level 3
-Supporting children with speech, language and communication needs.
-An introduction to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Member of national child-minding association
- Partner and I both DBS checked ( formally CRB checked.)
- Registered for overnight Care if needed.
- Covid-19 Course done, and all staff completed too.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday and I am also very flexible! With staff so flexible it enable us to be able to help out our parents by being so flexible! Any hours or questions that you may be thinking about please do not be afraid to ask as it may be that we can sort it out and will not be a problem.
Also I accept the 2,3 and 4 Year funding! So many people miss out on especially the 2 year funding through lack of information! Please message me for further details if needed.
We do runs to Northway nursery, pre school and school at the moment, again very flexible with the times and availability.
WE ARE ACCEPTING THE 30 FREE HOURS FOR 3 AND 4 YEAR OLDS! Very knowledgeable with everything after lots of training and research! Please ask any questions!

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge £5.00 per hour.
I provide snacks, light lunch and all drinks for an additional fee. Lunch is £2. Cooked tea and pudding is £3. More details on food can be discussed.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Carrant Brook Junior School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Northway Infant School
