About Me
Welcome to Happy House Childcare (HHC), located in Champion Hill, near the East Dulwich Sainsbury’s. I offer a nurturing and stimulating home environment designed to foster growth through play-based learning.
My mission is to enhance children’s confidence and skills essential for daily life during these formative early years. I believe that home-based learning is a critical component of their development.
At Happy House Childcare, I provide wholesome, home-cooked meals and snacks throughout the day, promoting healthy eating habits.
I take great pleasure in working with children and have three of my own who share this enthusiasm. Our daily activities include visits to Children’s Centres, local parks, libraries, soft play areas, and baby gyms.
Additionally, I embark on monthly excursions to museums, zoos, farms, and other engaging destinations.
I am conveniently accessible via several bus routes (40, 468, 68, 176, 185, 484, P13, 42) and train stations (East Dulwich and Denmark Hill).
For school collections, I serve Bessemer Grange Primary School and Lyndhurst Primary School.
I accept the Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) and payments through the tax-free childcare scheme. Please feel free to inquire about other payment options if needed.
My Experience
I am a dedicated mother to three wonderful children: a daughter and twin boys, aged 22 and 19. With a background in nursery work and childminding since 2014, I bring a wealth of experience and passion to my role. Notably, a child previously in my care began their journey with me at just one month old, reflecting the deep commitment I have to fostering growth and development from an early age.

Our daughter has been with Ovuokio for over a year and is confident and thriving in her care. Ovuokio is caring and warm, whilst also teaching the children in her care important personal and social skills. She organises a range of activities for the children, ensuring they are stimulated and learning - we are pleased with the progress our little girl is making since her time with Ovuokio. We are really happy to leave our daughter in Ovuokio's care each day, as our daughter is to spend the day with Ovuokio as well.

Okio is the best childminder I've met so far. She is professional, her communication and interpersonal skill is top notch, she is friendly, kind, understanding, and have a way with kids. My little one started at about 12 months + initially she was fuzzy but after she settled in she became a different baby ( lol in a good way) she would go to okio without crying, became more independent and her social skills improved. Okio was patient with my baby doing the settling in period , I've never picked up my child with a dirty nappy on, she takes them outdoors and I get good update about how my child is faring while I'm away.

I have had such an amazing experience from the very first day. Ovuokio has played an instrumental role in my twins development. My twin boys are always talking about their time with Ovuokio and what they do and eat. Thank you Ovuokio for everything thing that you have done for us. We really appreciate it.

Our daughter has been with Ovuokio since she was seven months old, increasing this year from three to five days a week. She's been going for 15 months and absolutely loves all the activities Ovuokio takes her and the other children to, and has formed great bonds with all the children who attend, which is one of the great benefits of going. Ovuokio is well connected with other childminders in the area and they typically attend a different playgroup or event every day, which means our daughter is engaged, learns social skills, but also has no qualms about saying goodbye to us in the morning during drop off so the fun can begin! As parents, we really appreciate Ovuokio too - she's a great communicator, is highly organised and really cares for the children she looks after.

Our son has been with Ovuokio every morning for over a year now whilst we are both studying and we are so happy to have found her. She is a wonderful childminder; honest, loving, flexible, reliable, professional and amazing with the children. Our son settled in quickly with Ovuokio and hasn't looked back since! He loves to see her and his friends every morning and enjoys all the creative and fun activities they do together. We are so grateful for the range of experiences Ovuokio offers the children, which are varied and change as they develop. As first-time parents she has been so helpful in sharing her wisdom and advice with us and we completely trust her judgement. We are extremely grateful for all the ways she has patiently taught our son new skills, encouraged his growth and tracked his development. We would definitely recommend visiting and getting to know Ovuokio if you're looking for childcare in the area.

My son have been with Ovuokio for nearly two years now and it’s the best decision I’ve made in terms of childcare. My son has always been caring and friendly but I have seen these traits blossom more and more over the last couple of years due to his interaction with Ovuokio and the children under her care. I have seen him take on a big brother role and become more organised and independent.
My son has really bonded with Ovuokio and adores being around her. Ovuokio is a lovely, kind and honest person who goes above and beyond to cater for the children in her care. She is very organised and gets the kids involved in indoor and outdoor activities. My son is also excited to see what the next adventure entails.
I trust Ovuokio wholeheartedly and will continue to use her service. I would highly recommend Ovuokio as a childminder.

My daughter has been with Ovuokio for the past 1 year. My daughter took well to Ovuokio from our initial meeting, I know it’s because of how calm, patient and warm Ovuokio is. Ovuokio made sure my daughter had a good settling in period to ensure a smooth transition as this was my daughter’s first time in any child care facility and the first time she was being cared for by someone who isn’t family. Since my daughter has been under Ovuokio’s care there has been no cause for concern, in fact we can only sing her praises. She updates us on our child’s progress and care on a daily basis. She has great communication skills and ensures she sends us pictures of activities our child does, this is very helpful as when I am at work it puts me at ease to see how happy my daughter is when she is under Ovuokio’s care. As new parents Ovuokio has been able to empower us, give us tips and advice on my daughter’s development. Also plenty of times she has also been able to put my mind at ease and reassure me when I have been worried about my own parenting. All the children in Ovuokio’s care are super respectful, happy and they all seem to love her including my daughter. Ovuokio is down to earth and always goes above and beyond. At a particular time my daughter was only eating very specific foods, ovuokio has been able to work with her over time to expand my daughter’s palette. I am super grateful that I came across Ovuokio’s page on this app and I could not imagine my first experience with a child care provider being with anyone else.

Our daughter has been with Ovuokio for nearly 2 years now and she is so happy there. After having difficulty settling in at another setting, she bonded with Ovuokio very quickly and has been happy there ever since.
Ovuokio is incredibly organised and great with the children. She always makes sure the children are well stimulated, taking them out everyday to groups, activities, museums, parks etc. My daughter has made great progress since being there.
We are so happy with Ovuokio that our son will be joining our daughter when I go back to work. I highly recommend her as a childminder. We feel very lucky to have her!

With my work/life balance proving quite difficult to juggle and with my son officially starting primary school last year September, I thought it was time to look for a child care provider.
He has never been watched by anyone other than family members and I can truly say that this was the best decision I have made. My son took so well to Ovuokio on the first meeting and it is so lovely to see the bond they have created. My son always looks forward to the next time they meet.
Not only is Ovuokio very accommodating with her schedule she is always prompt and teaches the children in her care so much. She is approachable, politie and very respectful. My son is well looked after, always compliments her food, enjoys interacting with the other children and loves the adventures she’s takes them on daily.
I have used this service for the school run and throughout this summer holidays. I can honestly safe I trust Ovuokio with my son and will continue to use this service. She is lovely and I would definitely recommend her service.
