About Me
I am a mother of 2 grown up children and have been childminding for 12 years. I am in partnership with Edinburgh Council and able to offer part of the 30hrs free childcare for all eligible 3 yrs +. I can also offer all the 30hrs if need be. I aim to provide a happy, safe, and friendly home environment for all ages, to come and have fun. I meet the needs of all the children in my care, and work in partnership with all parents. I have a large enclosed garden and a newly purpose built playroom. I currently care for children aged 6months to 6+ years. We attend local toddler groups as well as visit to parks, libraries, soft play and other local activities. We have fun indoors with lots of drawing, painting, glueing and play dough. I have lots of toys and equipment for all ages.
My Experience
I have my SVQ 3 in Childcare & Early Learning. I have vast experience in working with children, from newborn up to school age. I previously worked in council run nurseries as well as private. I also worked for 9 years in a maternity unit. I aim to provide a happy, homely place for children to come and feel at home!
My Qualifications
I am registered with the SCSWIS and have my SVQ 3 in Childcare & Early Learning. I attend courses throughout the year, including First Aid, that help me deliver a professional service. I have a full driving licence. I was graded excellent in my last 2 inspections.
My Availability
I work Monday to Friday 8am till 5.30pm. Full/part time vacancies as well as term time only. I am flexibile and will always try and accomodate any extra days or hours if required.
