My Summary
About Me
Hi, my name is Beth and I'm 30 years. I started in childcare 12 years ago as an apprentice at a nursery where I qualified and stayed for 5 years. From the nursery I started my first nanning role where I fell in love with the job, I was with the family for 5 years and we are still very close and keep in contact. I am a fun, bubbly person who really enjoys working through play ( messy, creative, outdoors etc ) to help with their development and learning.
My Experience
In the nursery i worked with children from the ages of 3 months to 10 years; I work with all age groups as I worked well along side all members of staff and children and knew all the routines.
My first family I was with for 5 years starting when the boys were 9 months and 5 years. I had a very good relationship with both the boys and the parents, working alongside them helping with the boys and helping around the house. When the youngest started school I lost hours, we managed to arrange a nanny share with friends of theirs. This worked out for a year and then the pandemic happened and I went back to looking after one family, where I helped with home schooling and making sure the boys were safe and happy.
My previous family I worked with had 3 girls, 5,11&13. I was helping around the house, dog walking and taking the girls to various after-school clubs.
From there I looked after one boy aged 20 months, I was with the family for around 6 months, unfortunately the circumstances changed and therefore I was no longer needed. In that time I built a great relationship with the child and parents. The little boys development was progressing fantastically and we had great fun together, going to clubs, mornings out and lots of art and messy play at home.
I am currently back at a nursery work in the 2 year old room, it's great being back in an environment working with other adults and multiple child but after a few months I have decided that nursery work doesn't work for me for a number of reasons.
My Qualifications
I have my level 2 and 3 child and young persons workforce qualifications, I have held a first aid certificate since 2013 completing the course every 3 years, last completed in February. I cleared my CRB in 2011 and several times since, I have also done a safeguarding course.
Previous qualifications are available on request if needed.
My Availability
As I am currently working I would need at least 4 weeks notice before starting a new job but ready to hand in my notice as soon as a job is confirmed. Ideally 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) with 32-36 hours. Due to me relocating I would only be able to work until the end of June/ beginning of July.
