About Me
MY name is Anne Thomas I live in a quite area in Polmont Falkirk with my husband and daughter as well as our little spaniel. We have a semi detached house with a large back garden where the children have access to play freely with a varied amount of play equipment. We live close to a large park and wooded area where we walk the dog and take the children to play and run freely. I enjoy working with young children and provide various activities aimed at their developmental stages as well as taking children to playgroup, nursery and school. I would aim to provide a structured but enjoyable daily routine for all children.
My Experience
I am a retired primary school teacher with over 30 years experience with children from nursery to primary seven. I am currently childminding several children between the ages 18 months and 10yrs, I have taught a variety of children over the years,including those with learning difficulties, I operate in a fairly relaxed manner and like the children to feel safe and happy in my care. I provide a variety of games and activities ie board games, arts and crafts, lego, play dough, dressing-up and baking. I would aim to work closely with parents so that any issues which arise can be dealt with immediately.
My Qualifications
I have a Primary Teaching qualification as well as child-minding, first aid,and food-hygiene certificates.
My Availability
I operate from 7.30am until 5,30pm Mon-Thurs but would operate outwith these hours by pre-arrangement with parents as well as occasions where parents need to start work earlier or work later. I also provide breakfast for children if they wish this. New children have a settling in period of 2 weeks where we would assess suitability and ensure that he/she is happy.

My children who are 4 and 8 enjoyed going to Anne's home. Anne is God sent my son thrived under her care as she took him out to different places on a daily basis. Even if it was raining she provided alternative entertain which kept the children engaged and happy. He enjoyed playing with dog and he formed a strong bond with the dog. My daughter always looked forward to seeing Anne. She is a very good communicator and is very compassionate. She went out of her way to support me through challenging days when I needed more childcare. She made me feel very comfortable as a parents. I knew that children were always well taken care of.

Anne has been my childminder from 31/10/2016. My 5 year old and 9 year old are made to feel so welcome and call Anne's home "our second home". My 2 children always come home happy and tired as they're always out playing, either at the beautiful big park near Anne's house or in her lovely big garden. Definitely highly recommend as I had the same childminder for 9 years but she retired and fortunately I found ANNE!! Brilliant transition for the children and they are happy and settled, just like they were previously
