About Me

I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I have a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and have experience working with babies through to teenagers. I have 3 children of my own who attend St Nicholas C of E Primary School and Kenilworth High School.
I have been childminding for 7 years now and working with children for about 18 years . I worked within different private day nurseries and children centres before becoming a childminder and I really enjoy offering more one to one attention, being attentive in a warm, safe, secure home environment .

I enjoy and have so much passion working with children, seeing them happy, grow, learn and
achieve. I have worked with children within the early years all my working life and have always been
passionate about being with the child, at their level, following their interest, encouraging the
outdoors, aiding in their learning and implementing next steps when needed. I use my observations
within my setting to aid with future planning and achieve the child’s next steps, meeting the areas of
the EYFS. I have a solid understanding of the 7 areas of the EYFS from courses I’ve been on and
settings I’ve worked in.
I have a great understanding of child development from the courses I’ve attended, the jobs I have worked in and also having my own three beautiful children who are currently 4, 6 and 15 years of age.
I have always enjoyed and been extremely interested in how the environment plays a key role in
supporting and extending a child’s learning. Therefore, I’m regularly evaluating my practise and how
the children are learning within in it to improve my setting, the children’s enjoyment and their
learning.
I have attended many courses over the years including the EYFS, outside play, Self evaluation form,
moving on in leaps and bounds, Breast feeding counselling, Child protection and I hold an enhanced
DBS. I provide a sound, fun, safe, rich stimulating environment for the children to feel at ease, happy so that they can develop and grow.
I work with each individual child as unique working with them and their families in a way that suits their individual needs, age and 9personality.
