My Summary
About Me
I'm a single mum of 6 children, I keep a clean and organised home. My children are between the ages of 21 and 2. I'm childminding with my sister who is also ofsted registered. The setting has two playrooms and a garden, we have many activities to aid children's development.
we are based in Nechells not far from the sports centre and Birmingham city centre
we are also able to offer free funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Also registered with tax free childcare.

My Experience
Being the eldest child of 10 my experience of children started when I was young. I have worked as a nanny, have helped out as a volunteer at mother and baby groups, talking tips stay and play groups, and helped out at a local nursery. I've also raised my own family.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 in childcare, first aid training, safeguarding training, level 2 in food hygiene.
My Availability
I'm available from 7am to 6pm weekdays, can be flexible,
and am able to provide free funding for 2 3 and 4 year olds

My daughter started with Michelle over 2 yrs now. My daughter loves going there.. As a parent I have the peace of mind that my daughter is with amazing childminders who are outstanding with their work. I'd definitely recommend her.

My daugther started nursery there in 2015 and has loved every minute. Since attending nursery there she is able to read simple sentences, something that my other children who attended mainstream nursery couldn't do. The one to one she had with Michelle and Laurel was excellent and so too was the environment. They had regular child reviews so I was able to see how my daughter was getting on, and at end of the year i could take her scrap book home which was filled with pictures and drawing she had done during time there. I would definitely recommend this childminding service and I shall be sending my youngest daughter there when she qualifys for the 15 hour nursery place. You would not be disappointed.

My daughter has been with Michelle and Laurel since September 2015. She is now ready to leave and start primary school and I am more than happy with the care and attention and education that has been provided for her.
They were able to accommodate to have my daughter from very early starts in the morning until in the evening while I was working for 3 months. She was always very well looked after, had a variety of healthy food daily including fruit through out the day. The flexibility of timings was perfect. The last 7 months she has been attending the setting for just the 15 hours per week. My daughter has come on so much while being here. Every day is different but always educational and enjoyable. Michelle and Laurel have always told me how my daughter is doing and communication has never been an issue.
There is so much for the children to do and they have a lovely outdoor area. They also make a scrapbook for your child where there is photos of what your child has been doing and learning while there which you are welcome to go through at any time but also given it at the end of term- it really is a lovely thought.
The setting is always clean and safe for the children. I really cannot fault Michelle and Laurel. Definitely recommend. Overall 5***** rating!!

My son has been with this childminding pair since January 2015, using the free 15 hour childcare entitlement. Such was the care my son received in his first 6 months myself and my husband opted to continue using Michelle and Laurel for his full nursery year.
Structured to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, my son has thrived in the care of the girls and is meeting all expectations in relation to the current school curriculum. A journal is also put together for every child detailing their day to day routine.
The property has been adapted into the perfect childcare setting with a recently renovated outdoor area which includes play apparatus and a mud kitchen. There are plenty of toys, crafts and educational supplies indoors to keep children entertained and stimulated - day trips are also organised throughout term time.
A healthy, balanced meal has always been supplied for my son including snacks like fruit and yoghurt at intervals through the day.
Overall, i have had no problems with Michelle and Laurel and find them to be very accommodating to all parents needs. Therefore, I would recommend this childminding pair to anyone both in or out of the Nechells area including those using the local colleges or University.
