About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and have been doing this 10 years and to date have cared for 21 children. Mostly early years children and have done school drop off/pick up and cared for children during the school holidays. I currently care for a 2 year old and have school age children during the holidays.
In the past I have worked in a medical centre, for the Prison Service, a national charity and a residential care home. I am now focused on working as a childminder.
I believe it is important to work along with parents in helping their child to develop and have done that through different learning activities and varied play. I have a number of books, toys and craft materials in my setting which children can use. I enjoy cooking and in particular baking and also have a garden and all the children have enjoyed getting involved in preparing their lunch and watering plants and picking fruit and vegetables from the garden to eat.
I live in North London, near play centres, libraries and parks which I take the children to regularly. I drive and my house is also near to bus stops and train stations and activities include trips to libraries, animal centres, museums and other places of interest.
My Experience
I registered on 2nd June 2014 after completing a compulsory course on setting up a home based childcare business and completed a Paediatric First Aid course (since then have updated every 3 years).
To date I have cared for 21 children.
My Qualifications
I completed the 'Understand how to set up a home based childcare service' course and also attended a Paediatric First Aid course.
In October/November 2014 I attended a basic child protection and advanced child protection for childminders course. I also attended a meeting in November, specifically for childminders relating to best practice. I updated my child protection training in October/November 2018. Attended SEND forum on Sensory Processing Disorder in October 2017. Updated safeguarding training 18/19th November 2020. Further updated safeguarding training on 16th November 2022 and Paediatric First Aid on 7th December 2022. Designated Safeguarding Lead training completed on 10/10/24.
Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (March 2016).
My last Ofsted inspection on 6th January 2020 was marked 'good'.

I am available from 8am until 5pm weekdays.
