About Me
Hi, my name is Vicki, I am 28 years old and am an Ofsted registered childminder. My Mum and I work together, she is also registered and has over 16 years experience as a childminder.
We are both very hard working, reliable and trustworthy people.As well as being very loving and caring with a fun personalities.
We both love working with children and have a real passion for their learning, finding it extremely rewarding to see them grow and develop.
We offer a home from home environment, ensuring that every child in our care is happy and comfortable during their time with us. Having studied for a degree in Education for the past four years, I am passionate about the learning of children. We believe that every child has the right to learn and so provide a stimulating environment where this is encouraged. Learning through play is so effective in the early years, and we understand that every child is an individual and will learn and develop in their own time. We as childcare practitioners aim to aid that learning.

My Experience
Before registering as a childminder, I worked as a Nanny for a couple of children who have stayed with me. Prior to that, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for four years, where I gained, not only Teaching experience, but also worked with children with a range of different special educational needs.
My Mum worked as a childminder whilst bringing up me, my brother and my sister. She has looked after many children over the years, caring for many families. The children that she cared for years ago, still like to come and visit now - at 20 odd years old!
I think this says a lot about the care that she has always provided!
I have worked in a number of nurseries around Milton Keynes, as a Nursery Nurse Assistant, for a temping agency.
We are both first aid trained and hold current DBS checks (formerly known as the CRB Check). We have experience of working with children of a range of abilities and ages. I have also worked with children with different special educational needs, such as Autism, Dyspraxia, Epilepsy etc.
We have cared for children from newborn to 15 years of age.
I babysit for a number of my friends. I have looked after one of their little girls from just 4 weeks old and she is now 6 and a half.
My Qualifications
11 A-C GCSEs
2 A-levels in Sociology and Psychology
I am in the final few weeks of a degree in Education, with just my dissertation to complete.
Studying Education has only strengthened my passion for children's learning. We strive to provide the best care and learning opportunity possible.
