About Me
I'm SJ and I set up Borrow my Mummy to offer ad-hoc and emergency childcare, within Kingston-upon-Thames. I previously worked as an Ofsted registered Childminder and now offer nannying and babysitting to those who need my help. I have worked with young babies through to teens, and also have experience in nurseries and schools.
How I can help:
- Ad-hoc Childcare. e.g. you may need a few hours during the day to get things done!
- Emergency Childcare. e.g. your regular childcare has fallen through; you/your child are sick
- Babysitting
- Help with home schooling
- Unscheduled pick-up from your child's school
- Mothers/Fathers help at home
- Caring for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I can also offer parent support and guidance from a personal perspective. I have lots of experience with SEN both professionally and personally. I’m mum to a child with ASD and ADHD so have lived experience in navigating the challenges life can throw at you. I'm more than happy to share my knowledge and experience through my own journey if you feel a bit lost navigating the system.
My Experience
I have 8 years professional childcare experience working with children in a number of settings, including schools, nurseries and my own Ofsted Registered childminding business. I have experience looking after children from birth to 14 years old and caring for children with Special Educational Needs.
Prior to specialising in child care I worked within Human Resources in Banking in London and New York.
I am on the enhanced DBS update service and have been trained in Paediatric first aid, although this is due for renewal. Please browse through the attached documents for further information about my offering!

Fully flexible to be able to offer Emergency Childcare, subject to availability. I'm also open to regular ad-hoc childcare. Please feel free to ask!
