I have been working as a Registered Childminder since 1998. I work with children 0 to 10 years.
I have experience of working with children of all age groups. I have experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities including children with autism. I also have experience of working with children for whom English is a secondary language. I have also worked with children who have additional dietary needs and/or medicinal needs. I have many Childcare qualifications including NVQ3, Managing Children's Behaviour, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, SEND etc. Please ask to see my Professional Development folder for all information regarding training I have undertaken and qualifications I have attained.
I am a member of PACEY, The Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years.
My children are all educated within the EYFS Early Years Foundation Stage. Children in the EYFS learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking which takes place both indoors and outside. Whilst attending my childminding setting your child will have fun learning skills, acquiring new knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through seven areas of learning and development.
Children should generally develop the three prime areas first. These are:
- Communication and language;
- Physical development; and
- Personal, social and emotional development.
These prime areas are those most essential for your child’s healthy development and future learning. As children grow, the prime areas will help them to develop skills in four specific areas. These are:
- Literacy;
- Mathematics;
- Understanding the world; and
- Expressive arts and design.

As a Registered Childminder, I currently provide full-time and/or part-time childcare in my own home.
My Experience
I have been working as an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 1997.
Before becoming a Childminder I worked for MIND, a National Mental Health Charity in Stratford, East London.
I do accept childcare vouchers. I am able to provide 15 hours a week "free" funded hours for eligible two, three and four year olds. I am also able to provide 30 hours "free" childcare for eligible three and four year olds.
I have a standard hourly rate for part-time care and a rate for long term minding for parents who need a full-time place. I use separate contracts for short-term or longer term minding.
Unlike a nursery, the relationship between childminder and child can flourish for many years through the foundation stages of their life, through the school years and hopefully into adolescence. As a childminder I provide a safe stimulating "home from home" enriched environment to encourage the children's enjoyment and learning and development through enjoyable play, unbeatable childminder:child ratio and flexible working hours for the parents.
In addition to working term time, I also work school holidays when parents require this.

10 GCSE's
4 A Levels.

My Availability

I am able to provide "free" funded hours for eligible two, three and four year olds. For eligible 2 year olds this is up to 15 hours a week. For three and four year olds this will be between 15 and 30 hours a week free childcare! Please ask me for further details.

When calling I will need to know the age of your child(ren) and how many hours childcare you are needing and at what times. I will need to know what schools or nursery the child attends if any, whether you require pick ups or drop offs and if you have ever worked with a childminder previously.

I have a standard hourly rate for part-time care and a rate for long term minding for parents who need a full-time place. I do provide free hours for 2, 3 and 4 year olds if you are eligible to receive this. I also accept childcare vouchers and Tax Free Childcare. Please contact me for more information.
