About Me
My Name is Lorraine Wheldon I am 48 years old born 1976. I work alongside 2 assistants.
I offer a safe, friendly, educational, home from home enviroment for your child. I visit local groups and take trips to outdoor and indoor facilities for children. This therefore provides a fun and educational experience for the children to learn in places local such as court farm and Puxton park.
I am NVQ level 3 qualified in childcare and am accredited and approved with north somerset council, this enables me to offer the government funding for 9 month, 2,3 and 4 year olds.
Furthermore I and my assistants all possess all needed food hygiene, safe guarding, first aid and many more qualifications.
I provide school drop of and pick up form local schools. 3 meals a day, snacks and any extra food/drink the child needs.

My working hours are 7am - approx 6pm.
My Experience
Before childminding I was a manager at Local nursery. I have over 30 years experience of working with children.
I have had years of experience in additional needs children and have taken many courses in order to ensure I can provide the best possible care.
I am also a mum of 5 children. I have been childminding for 15 years now and I really enjoy what I do. Watching the children grow and learn in a safe and growing environment.
Like said above I hold many qualifications and hold that same level to those employed by me.

My Availability
Main hours are 7.00 - 6.00 monday to friday.
I also cater for before and after school pick ups and drop offs at castle batch school.
I also cover inset days.

Lorraine has been my trusted childminder for 5 years; first for my daughter and now my son. She is exceptionally experienced and has provided a safe, stimulating and loving environment to allow both of my children to thrive. Both Lorraine and Jasmine put the children first in everything that they do and I would never send my children anywhere else!

My little boy has been with Lorraine and Jasmin her assistant since he was 8 months old. They are both kind, caring, supportive and create a welcoming inviting environment. My little boy loves going to Bright Stars and we couldn’t be more pleased with the care he receives. Lorraine is extremely supportive and offers great advice on all child development questions. We are so pleased that we chose this setting for our child to attend.

My little ones have been attending Lorraines setting for 4 years, my youngest since she was 4 months old! After a stint in another local preschool(due to lack of space), I decided to put my oldest back into Lorraines as no where compares to the warm and homely feel the Jasmine and Lorraine offer. The children absolutely adore them both and see them as extended family. Their professionalism is incredible and the support they offer to parents is unmatched. The setting is clean and comforting, and they always enjoy days out to local farms etc. I would never send my kids anywhere else.

Boys have been attending Lorraine’s for around 5 years now. Both very happy and have great fun exploring local farms and childminding groups during the week.
Super flexible with hours offered, great home cooked meals and a lovely setting. :)
