About Me
My name is Jacqueline Harvey . . I live in the Lee Chapel South area of Basildon five minutes from Town centre and Basildon Hospital. I have been a Registered Childminder with ofsted for the last 22 years. I have a child friendly house and garden, and two children of my own , my daughter is 26 years old and my son is 30 years old. Whatever activity is planned for the day, whether its creative or an outing happy children are my aim. I mainly look after babies and the under 5 year olds. I am very reliable and professional.
( I currently have no vacancies) Normal hours available are 7.30 am till 5.30 pm Monday to Thursday , can be flexible .
My Experience
I have been registered with ofsted since 17.12.2002 . On my last inspection with ofsted with all new judgments from the advised inspection changes I was awarded with "good" as my grading, which signifies that my practice is strong. I work in partnership with parents and have good links with Toddler Groups, Pre-schools and Schools. I do drop offs and pick ups at lee chapel primary school , also lee chapel preschool and stepping stones preschool in accordance with the children in my setting .

My fees are charged at £6.00 per hour I am registered to accept employers nursery vouchers and Free Early Education Entitlement Funding. 9 month 2 year and 3 to 4 year. Please message me for all your childcare requirements.

Jackie is an amazing childminder. She creates such a great atmosphere for the kids. Lots of games, learning, singing, arts and crafts. She is very patient and caring. She takes them out to parks, kids clubs the library ect... My daughter started going to Jackie when she was 2 years old. She was always so happy to go and loved Jackie as well as her family. The family are so friendly and welcoming too. It is like a home from home environment. She was very loved and cared for while she was there. I received photos and updates from the day, which was lovely. My daughter now almost 5 has learnt so much from Jackie, like numbers, colours, the alphabet, road safety, her address. She is now starting school and is a confident little girl because of Jackie. I can't thank her enough for taking care of her so well. I fully recommend Jackie as a childminder.

I can highly recommend Jackie. She has a warm welcoming enviroment that kids love. There is always a variety of activities out on offer for the children to keep entertained, educated and most importantly happy. My youngest daughter has been there since she was 1 and has always loved being there, she will miss Jackie so much now she is off to ‘big school’, but goes well prepared with all the skills that Jackie has helped build over the years. Jackie has a great reputation and is always in demand. She is so professional and takes immense pride in providing an excellent service. I can't thank you enough Jackie for all the support and care you have given to us as parents and most importantly to our girls. We was so lucky to have found you. Thank you so much xx

My daughter was with Jackie from 18 months until she started reception this year and we really could not have found a better childminder! My daughter still asks to visit Jackie and her family all of the time and she made so many friends at her setting. Jackie sent lots of photos and updates throughout the week which was great, I loved being able to see what my daughter did through the day and she always came home with lots of different things she'd made. She would do painting, crafts, play doh, gardening, water play and so much more! She would also go to different clubs, parks and libraries which helped my daughter build her confidence around other children, and I also think it really helped her to settle into nursery and then school so well. I would highly recommend Jackie to anyone seeking a very caring, friendly, flexible childminder.

When my son started with Jackie 2 days a week last September he was shy and not used to being left with strangers much. Within just a couple of visits he couldn’t wait to go to Jackie’s and play with the other children. She was so welcoming of us and knew exactly what he needed to feel at ease. He went to playgroups both days and often to the park and library too. He would bring home anything he has made and told me what he has been learning that day. Jackie will send photos everyday and updates to parents to let them know what they got up to each time. You couldn’t wish for anything more when someone is looking after your child. Thank you so much Jackie for helping develop our little boy and making it such a fun experience for him!

My family’s experience with Jacqui is highly commendable although it was only a short one. Jacqui is a very honest and pleasant person. My little one enjoyed every moment he had spent with her. He was very well looked after , and I am sure he misses her now. I am very confident to recommend Jacqui to anyone who is looking for a lovely, experienced child minder.

Jackie is the best childminder you'll ever have. I deeply believe we were one of the lucky families. My daughter starts being with Jackie since she was 10 months old until she starts nursery this September(3+).
As a first-time mum, she gave me all the reassurance I needed at that time.
She always keep me up to date with my daughter's day. Jackie is also really knowledgeable about children's development and all the latest childminding requirements, she had all qualifications and paperwork required by Ofsted and much more than that.
Jackie will offer you a home from home service, she cares for the children like they are her own and I can honestly say that my child wouldn’t be as school ready or have made the progress she has without all the love, care, and attention that Jackie has provided her.
Jackie and her family have become like family to us. It's just a few weeks ago that my daughter is not going with her and we really miss her.
Jackie always goes the extra mile to make sure all the kids that are under her care are happy, learning and having fun. Your child will love to be there and more likely is not going to be happy to leave her house. I wish you are able to find a spot with her... She has a long waiting list, make sure you call her as soon as possible... She is a true gem in the childcare world.

My son had a lot of fun with Jacqui in the summer holiday. He went to picnic, baked cup cakes and cookies, made a dinosaur money box, learnt alphabet etc. She kindly prepared several dinosaurs items as my son loves dinosaurs. She sent photos of my son every time so I knew what he did. I really recommend Jacqui as a great childminder.

Jackie has been amazing with my little girl. When I 1st started taking her about 3 years ago my daughter would always cry when I was leaving her but once I left she was absolutely fine. Jackie would always put me at ease and send me photos of what they been up to. My daughter loves going to Jackie’s house and always asks when she be going next. Jackie has learnt my daughter many things such as her numbers, shapes, colours to writing her name. I’m so pleased to have find Jackie and have booked my younger daughter to be in her care when I return back to work in December. Thank you for everything you have done for us so far and look forward to you having Chloe xx

Jackie is first class. My daughter has been with her for 4 years and I could not praise this lady highly enough. What she doesn’t know about the latest childminding requirements isn’t worth knowing, Jackie is up to date and forward thinking. Aside from qualifications and paperwork...Jackie offers a home from home service, she cares for the children like they are her own and I can honestly say that my child wouldn’t be as school ready or have made the progress she has without the love, care and attention that Jackie has provided. Jackie has become like family. The trips and visits, the lessons, the socialisation with others that she plans for, the celebrating of cultures, religions, customs and languages, the songs, books, phonics, numeracy....... just wow! I have family members in other parts of the U.K. who cannot believe what Jackie does as they couldn’t find anyone who would be a patch on her. As a teacher myself I can honestly say that Jackie is worlds apart in how she plans and ensures that children develop. If you are lucky enough to secure a place for your child with Jackie, be prepared to be amazed and consider yourself one of the very lucky ones. Your child will glow with happiness and blossom beyond what you could imagine.

Jacqueline has had our little boy for two years, and she is absolutely brilliant. He has come on so much and we put a lot of it on her. The setting is lovely, she is a wonderful person and provides so much for all the kids she looks after. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder, and we are gutted to be leaving her as our boy moves on to infant school!!
