About Me

My home is close to the city centre and I have a shared, secure, communal garden. I also have an allotment which is a five minute walk from my house. We use it nearly every day of the week to help the children learn about nature. My son works with me as a childminding assistant. Together we create a warm, friendly, home from home environment and provide educational and imaginative activities to support the children in our care to reach their full potential.

My Experience

I have worked as a childminder for 8 years. Before that I worked in school with children with special educational needs

My Qualifications

Research degree in education. This was researching how children learn and the impact intrinsic and extrinsic rewards impact on children’s motivation to learn. I have also completed Norfolk County Council’s childminding course. I have also attended various courses over the last 8 years to continue my professional development as a childminder.
