About Me
My name is Kirsty and I am a parent of two grown up boys and a 15 year old daughter.
I provide a caring, clean, safe home environment for pre-school to secondary age, where daily activities are planned to cater for all ages and individual interests/needs. Learning through play with friends.
This includes: Trips out, visits to the local parks, bikes, trikes & scooters, singing, story time, Arts & Crafts, outdoor/indoor interactive games etc!
I've an enclosed front garden that includes wooden play shed and wooden house, with kitchen set and clothes for imaginative role play and plenty of group play, interactive toys. Rocking snail & dog toys....swing and see saw set and a baby swing, etc . Alternating the toys depending on current ages and abilities.
The back garden is also enclosed and this consists of all outdoor toys, ie trikes, scooters, four wheeled cars for boys and girls, wooden climbing wall den, slide, chalk wall, gravel pit and sand table, with plenty of daily interactive games weather permitting.
ln the school holidays I like to arrange trips out depending on my numbers of children booked in. This varies from petting farms, activity play centres, local forests where you can have a nature walk, picnic and play in the parks, or visiting local play parks and feeding ducks which the kiddies love!
In the warmer months I get the paddling/splash pools out weather permitting, one for the younger and older children, but arrange these days around the ages and numbers of children on a specific day.
On a normal day, I like to arrange the activities so that the children have as much fun and interaction with myself and the other children I care for. I ensure there's always plenty to do and allow for chilltime and relaxation too!
My Experience
I have 16 years of professional childcare experience. (27 years parenting) Realising from an early age, caring for little ones would be my life path. Child development is a fascinating subject, one that I am privileged to watch in real-time every day with the children, as we bond, share and grow, feeling safe and secure on their early years journey.
My path into childcare:
I spent most of my spare time offering my babysitting services when i was a teenager.
Taking my first exam at 16 years of age.
"Design for Living" which covered caring for children in the home, Health and Safety and food hygiene.
I have always loved caring for children, becoming a parent myself too. Being able to use both professional and personal experience with my qualifications gives me the personal and consistent look into my own strengths and weaknesses.
Alongside my CPD courses, I reflect daily on the high level of care, creativity, passion and management of myself and setting, ensuring continuity of the care and experiences through play in all 7 areas of learning and developmemt offered, following the statutory EYFS framework with personal and professional growth too.

Please email or call to discuss availability as I can be flexible to suit hours required, depending on current children/ hours. I currently, do not have availability for School drop off and collections.

I have a set hourly rate and discounts are offered depending on individual requirements.

Kirsty is amazing, she’s currently looking after my daughter during the week and son after school. All of us as a family are beyond happy with Kirsty’s kind and nurturing learning environment. Both children love going and are excited to tell me everything they’ve done that day! My daughter has progressed so much in all aspects of learning. We are so lucky to have found her, a-lot of the learning goes on through play and activities and they don’t even realise. I would recommend Kirsty in a heart beat!

Kirsty looked after my son and daughter for a number of years while they were in primary school. During that time Kirsty provided excellent childcare in a safe and happy home environment. Both my children loved going to Kirsty's every single day. There were always lots of after school activities for my children to enjoy in an inclusive environment. Both my son and daughter were sad to leave Kirsty's care when they moved up to secondary school. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kirsty - she is a 'one in a million' childminder.

Kirsty has been looking after my daughter for five years and is excellent. She is highly professional, and a lot of fun. She is very welcoming and makes children feel at home. The children do a lot of activities and learning without even realising it. There is lots of outdoor play in her garden, local playgrounds etc. She provides lovely, home cooked food for the kids. My daughter loves going to Kirsty's house and I have the peace of mind that she is in the best care.

My 2 daughters were only with Kirsty for 6 months due to a change in my work commitments, but they both absolutely thrived with her. They were both happy and confident with Kirsty which was so nice when I left them in the mornings.
Kirsty is very professional and very caring and we were fully welcomed in to her family.
Would 100% recommend her :)

Kirsty has.looked after my son and daughter on a number of occasions to help cover my work pattern and my son is very shy and unconfident and also is partially sighted but he really enjoyed being around kirsty and really came out of his shell with her which made me feel.happy about leaving him. I found kirsty to be highly professional and i really loved the fact she added the educational side to her work.which i have never found before from previous providers. I feel kirsty is a credit to childminding and i feel provides a much higher standard of care and professionalism and friendliness than i have ever experienced before. Also to mention my little girl also loved being around kirstys and i would always without doubt highly recommend and use kirstys again in the future.
