About Me
I'm 38, have two daughters of my own (10 years & 20months). I started nannying in 2016 whilst doing my undergraduate degree ( podiatry). I have continued to do so in a variety of arrangements (see below) both as my main source of income and as additional income to other work (podiatrist & pharmacy technician).
I had a year long placement in a Durham primary school whilst I undertook my teaching assistant qualification, and also worked as a childminder in 2018/19. I completed a maternity nurse course in order to work with parents/newborns during the first few weeks/months.
I am Ofsted registered for tax-free childcare, have revalidated my full paediatric first aid certificate (April 23), have public liability insurance.
My Experience
I have worked with several families since 2016. With ages 5 months to teens as a nanny. Childminding experience for 18 months from 2018-2019
I have had both sole charge and shared care roles. Lots of overnight care and part live in.
All baby duties: sterilising bottles, potty training, weaning ….all general nanny duties over the last 9 years.

Lynsey has been an occasional babysitter for my 9 year old son since Dec 2023. She is very well qualified, competent and dedicated and gives my son a really engaging and fulfilling time wether at our home or hers. She is calm, punctual, reliable, kind, creative and my son now asks when he's going to see Lynsey again as he always has such a good time in her care. My babysitting needs are ad hoc but Lynsey always gets back to me promptly and always finds time to accommodate our needs wether its an evening weekend or a couple of hours in the daytime during the week. I'd highly recommend her services.

Lynsey is great at looking after children, even when the notice is short. She's able to connect with small children very fast. She is always on time and looks after my son really well. He asks for her to read him stories at night. I would highly recommend her for parties/weddings also, because she is very reliable and gets on with kids marvellously in hardly any time at all.

Lynsey baby sat my 2 boys for an evening and really engaged with them, I felt she looked after them well and they both enjoyed her sitting with them with youngest calling her 'kind'. I would employ Lynsey again

Lynsey stepped into the breach to look after my three children aged 4,7,9 for 3 months in the capacity as nanny. She was very much put in at the deep end at what was an extremely busy time work wise for both my husband and I, this did not faze her one bit. She was an absolute star with the children and very quickly built up a lovely rapport with them, they loved their time with Lynsey as their nanny. I was worried about finding somebody to bridge the gap for such a short space of time and how they would fit into the family but all my fears quickly disappeared after finding Lynsey. Lynsey is such a lovely person, very easy going, shy at first but slowly came out of her shell and great with children. Can’t recommend her enough.

Lynsey stepped in as emergency childcare for a weekend day when I couldn't find anyone. She is punctual, reliable, and above all really lovely and patient with my (that day very fussy) little boy which I really appreciated! Thank you, Lynsey :).
