About Me

Hello my name is Leona. I am a registered childminder, I live in hartley wintney on the edge of a farm so theres lots of exciting things for children to see and do. ( tractors regularly pass by the garden) I have a little baby boy called Albie who is 7. I love being outdoors and exploring nature and my location gives me a great opportunity to do this. Im a very strong believer in child lead learning and although there will be activities set up for children I believe they should be able to choose what they would like and this helps us pick the theme. I like to keep busy and don't like just sitting in front of the tele. Especially if it’s a nice day. I am ofsted registered. Since having my own little one i wanted to continue working with children as i have loved the profession for so long now so i decided to start childminding again after a few years break as i think its a great way to be to carry on my passion but also allowing my child to make friends and be with other children. I have a fantastic garden with room to run around and shade for those hot days. I am a very bubbly jolly person and enjoy getting out and about when i can. I follow the EYFS standards and help teach children in a fun, safe and welcoming environment. i do meet ups with other childminders and children and attend toddler groups so everyone gets to make lots of friends. i am very blessed with my location as it enables me to take the children on bug hunts and nature walks or explore the farm and spend lots of time outside doing activities such as planting and leaf printing. i also love doing arts and crafts and messy play such as foam play, baking, potato printing. i can provide lots of references so please get in touch
