About Me
Hi I’m karen ofsted registered
childminder and mum of 15yr old daughter living in newnham area west side of Cambridge 10 min walk to city centre cb3
i also have 2 older children both now finished studies and working in there own professsion's and married themselves and 3 lovely grandchildren .i aim to provide a home from home fun / learning enviroment for my childcare .we live very close to a popular park so will be taking regular trips there ,also trips to play groups , messy play and lots of fun indoor and outdoor activities,libary trips, and of course lots of dancing and singing.
we have a enclosed garden with lots of outdoor toys ,water play and sand, ride on toys .in the summer we spend as much time in the fresh air as possible and on colder days we add warm clothing and go muddy puddle hunting ,bug trails nature walks
we have lots of musical instruments ,books, regular trips out to botanical gardens and whimpole farm and Visits to the garden centre to feed the fish and many more activitys.
I like to socialise the children as I feel this really helps them with there learning development and social skills as we all need those these days to get along in the big wide world and a be kind environment.
For me it’s all about welcoming your little ones into my family setting and having a fun /learning caring time .
My Experience
i have lots of experience with own children and also over the years ive worked in caring for children in there own home settings as-well as my own home .
i have new born experience .early baby prem. experience also I have a very gentle approach to those little ones that find it hard to settle in there new environment.

safe guarding children and many more to list
Can also provide references from children’s parents I've looked after

Our son has been going to Karen's for almost 2 years. She is extremely reliable, very accommodating and so loving with the children she's looking after. She has been able to accommodate our son's routine, special interests and engage his imagination with exciting activities and outings. The activities she does with the children are stimulating, age appropriate and teach them a variety of skills. My son has such a good time at her place and Karen has becone like family. I am extremely grateful to have her in our life!
