My Requirements

My daughter Rose attends Griffin house School in Little Kimble. We essentially need wrap around care for a total of between 10 and 15 hours spanning the month. It actually works out at closer to ten but we pay a retainer of 15 hours in recognition of the flexibility requirement. You will seldom be asked to work this amount. In December for example, we paid our nanny the retainer but didn't require her at all. And in November, she ended up working about six hours in total. (this isn't always the case, on the odd occasion we do use the 15 allocation!)

Although the hours we need differ every month because of our shift patterns, we always know the schedule months in advance. Previous nannies have combined this job with a full time one elsewhere to top up their wage. One of them, for example was a therapist with the NHS by day and was able to help us before and after work.

We work together in working out schedules, it might be for example we book Rose into prep so she can be picked up later - when the nanny can get to her. Or we might book her into breakfast club if the nanny needs to be somewhere else.

Sometimes when Rose is picked up from school the job can involve sitting with her until we get home, this is never later than 07.30pm. Often I am at home, so it literally just a drop off.
On the occasional mornings, you may be asked to come for 07.15/7.30 so I can get a train into London. Again, I stress you are given plenty of notice if this is required.

Our current nanny doesn't cook - this is fine with us, but you may be required to prepare a simple meal for Rose from time to time. There won't be a necessity to do a bed time routine, as one of us is always home in time to do it. Rose is a very easy child.

It is very important to us that in addition to having a compassionate carer, the person is a competent driver as the country roads to Little Kimble from Haddenham can be tricky.
