About Me
Hello to all parents looking for an enriched homely relaxed caring environment which is stimulating, fun and welcoming to all young children. I am a Ofsted registered setting which opened in 2002 having built up a wealth of experience over the years being very reliable, supportive and trustworthy. Childcare is offered within our homely setting to include outdoor play, visits to surrounding beauty spots, various parks, local libraries, garden centres, local dance class, Little Lancashire Play Villages, Youth Theatre activities and local playgroups. All areas of learning related to the EYFS are covered through learning play which children attending are interested with being child lead or focused learning. My Ofsted reports are available to read electronically online having an Outstanding grading for the last three inspections.
I regularly attend training to refresh ideas, learn about new government guidelines which help to keep our policies up to date. My training file can be viewed on a setting visit covering all relevant courses required and many more. Parents feedback, questionnaires and learning journeys can also be shown.
Children are able to attend from 2 months old up-to leaving for Primary School at the age of 4 years continuation of childcare helps children’s confidence knowing who we are as strong bonds are formed.
We are able to accommodate Lancashire County Council funded placements of 15 hours or 30 hours being an accredited setting.
Government Tax Vouchers along with Student Study payments can be used to help with costs of childcare.
Childcare places are in high demand at the moment especially baby places we are only allowed two babies under one year old at anytime being a setting of two adults carers which enables us to care for additional children.

My Experience
I personally have been childminding for a total of 23 years having completed the NVQ level 3 in childcare and education plus many other related training qualifications. All necessary qualifications are up to date such as Safeguarding, First Aid & Food Hygiene.
I have a daughter aged 26 and a son who’s 23 years old both live away from home so lots of experience with children of all ages.
My Qualifications
Qualifications NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education.
A full range of training related to childcare First Aid, Safe Guarding Children, Safe Space, Readiness for School, Phonics, Forest School and many more....
Our full range certificates are available to be viewed whilst visiting our setting.
Any additional training is undertaken as needed we keep up to date as new training becomes available from Lancashire County Council. All Ofsted guidelines are adhered to.
On going regular training is taken especially with any new government updates.
My Availability
Our working day is from 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday
Fridays we finish a little earlier at 4.00pm

My son has attended here for just over a year. Absolutely fantastic setting. The only reason he moved was due to us moving area. Both child minders are attentive and caring and my nerves were settled very quickly after my son, who started at 10 months, began their setting.
Lots of activities such as trips out (pre-COVID), craft, dancing, dress up, large woodland area for plays and walks locally, list is endless. Stunning location. Cannot speak highly enough.

My daughter loved going to Julia's, it's a lovely setting for children with plenty of activites and fun. Lovely, caring childminder. Definitely recommended. Outstanding services. Couldn't ask for a better childminder.
