About Me
I'm Debbie, married with two children of my own, who are 26 and 23, my son works locally and my daughter works with me, as my assistant. We've lived in Tamworth for twenty three years now. We have some tropical fish and have two rescue cats and a dog that were in need of a home. I live within walking distance of the local schools and preschool in Wilnecote. We have a secure garden that we use every day, weather permitting and a child friendly park a short distance away!
My Experience
I have been registered with Ofsted and working as a childminder for 17 years now, my daughter has been working with me for 4 years and following the last inspection was given a rating of 'good'. We have started to attend a local playgroup, that was closed due to Covid, and attend the local community facilities at relevant events and the library, we take trips on the bus to town park, and soft play, we also visit other childminders gardens and local nature walks so there is plenty of opportunities for socialising and outdoor fun for your little ones too. Playing at our home includes baking, painting, gluing and all sorts of messy play along with a wide variety of toys, puzzles and games and easy access to our secure garden.
As all professional childcarers and home educators, we follow the EYFS guidelines and make learning fun and enjoyable as well as stimulating and interesting.
We know how hard it is to leave your precious little ones so aim to make it as easy as possible for both of you with settling sessions as required to enable the transition to go smoothly for you and little one in our home from home environment where you will receive a warm welcome!
My Qualifications
I have passed my level 3 qualification in childcare and have level 1 in sign language, my daughter has level 4 qualification (degree level) in childcare too. We both have a paediatric first aid certificates, food hygiene certificates and safeguarding and have been on lots of training courses since being registered and continue to do so to keep up to date with all childcare matters and continue professional development

My husband and I have been very lucky to find Debbie. She is excellent with our daughter and she provides great communication as well. Our daughter has enjoyed her time with Debbie and I would recommend Debbie to any mom's in the area looking for someone to look after your child.
