About Me
Hi my name is Amy Cartmill from Cherubs Childminding. I have been rated ofsted outstanding twice. I live in Newton Abbot with my husband, 12 year old daughter and 4 year old son.
My Experience
I have 9 years experience working in private day nurseries and nearly 10 years childminding experience. And as a mother of two of my own I have plenty of hands on experience too! I want to use my knowledge and experience to provide high quality child care in a relaxed and friendly home environment. We have a dedicated play room filled with lots of exciting toys and activities and free flow to the garden for lots of open ended play and exploration! I have plenty of experience using the curriculum 'The Early Years Foundation Stage' (EYFS) so aim to provide your children with well planned exciting activities and outings, based on their current interests to help them learn and develop to their full potential.
My Qualifications
Rated outstanding on my two ofsted inspections ( 2016 and 2023 ). I hold the child care qualification NVQ Level 3 in Children's care, learning and development. I have also completed the course 'CYPOP5' understand how to set up a home based child care service. I hold certificates in Paediatric first aid and level 2 and level 3 Safeguarding. I have also attended many more child care related courses such as EYFS training and courses related to SEN. I have also been a setting SENCO 'special educational needs coordinator' .
My Availability
I am registered to provide anll year round care and can provide school holiday care for school age children as well. My main working hours are 8-6 Monday to Friday. I cover Haytor View primary school in Newton Abbot. Early years spaces available from September 24 and September 25.

£5.50 ph or a set minimum fee of £44 (under 8 hours)

Amy has looked after my son since he was 9 months old and he has recently left for pre school... Amy did a fantastic job, has a lovely home, activities for the children, very reliable and always helpful! My son loved it and he was ready to go to pre school confident and thriving thanks to Amy. Would highly recommend!
