My Experience

I have 25 years experience in various roles of childcare. I have experience with children aged 0 – 16 yrs, but my main focus has been 0-10 yrs.

I have recently worked as a nanny caring for two children ages 7 and 11 years. collecting them from school, taking them out to activities, such as swimming as well as providing activities in the home, such a baking and crafts. Preparing and cooking their meals, helping with homework and reading and providing occasional babysitting. I have also worked previously as a nanny having sole care of 3 children aged 2, 5 and 7 years. I have worked within a team in a nursery setting and as a Play Specialist in a hospital. I have also worked within Social Care, caring for disadvantaged children and children in need. I have worked in two school settings, one of which was with children with special educational need and disabilities. (SEND).
I spent 10 years I have worked in Children Centres, running both fun and educational
groups for young children and their parents, I also worked as a Family Outreach Worker supposing parents and their families one to one in their homes. My most recent role along side my nanny post was with Action for Children as a Parenting Practitioner, providing parenting support, via a Parenting course that I delivered in both a group setting and on a 1-1 basis.
I have an excellent knowledge of child development and lots of ideas for imaginative play and learning experiences and I am able to provide good quality care for your child.
