My name is Filiz. I am an OFSTED registered childminder. I live in the lovely Datchet Village . I've two grown up children age 27yrs old and 24yrs old .
We have lived in Datchet for over 20 years. We have a large 4 bedroom, 4 reception room detached home, which benefits from a large and dedicated playroom, full of fun, stimulating toys and books, activities and educational material for children of the ages 0- 8 years old.
My home has a large, lovely secure and enclosed garden, which is full of fun things for the children to play on, learn and exercise on.
The children in my care are treated as part of our family. My aim is to make sure your children feel safe, secure and loved in a happy fun homely environment, whilst mum and dad are at work.
I believe in communicating and working together with families to give the best possible care for each individual child's needs. Together we can encourage children to be happy, confident and independent as they grow.
We love going to day outings to places such as as sure start centres, parks, Savill Gardens, Black Park, Legoland, softplay, waterparks, cherry/strawberry picking, playdates, farms and museum trips.
We also enjoy cooking, baking, art and crafts in our home. All the children that come to our house benefit from freshly home cooked meals with fruit and vegetables. We believe and respect in each child's special dietary requirements.

My Experience
I have 25years of childcare experience, initially as a full time Nanny and have been a registered childminder since year 2001. In these years I have had experience of looking after all ages of children from new borns to teenagers.
I have experience in looking after children with special needs. I have also experience looking after children where English is not their first language.

Our 2 year old boy was lovingly looked after by Filiz for almost a year and half and we would whole heartedly recommend her, her beautiful, safe home and her friendly, kind family! She put our mind at ease from the beginning and our son settled in really well. He really enjoyed his days spent there, the garden is really big, safe with all they need for hours of fun. Days out included the local parks, soft play and he made some really lovely little friends along the way. I know he misses them all and Filiz a lot! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her and hope to see them again soon x

We feel just so lucky to have Filiz as our son’s childminder for so many reasons. We had heard about her through a family member who were extremely happy with her and we are so happy that we took their recommendation.
It was naturally very hard for me to leave our 7 months old son to somebody else’s care when I had to go back to work fulltime. I had so many concerns. Is he going to sleep well? (He needed to be rocked to sleep which was a big stress point for me), is he going to eat well? (We had just started BLW with him and I wanted to prepare all his food for a healthy diet, was she ok to spend the time to feed him), is he going to miss me? He is much younger than the other kids are, will he get enough attention? Etc. Despite all my worries, it was such a smooth transition. Filiz was so receptive to all our wishes and requests. She adapted an excellent routine for Atlas and always found a solution to any of our concerns. Almost immediately, she became like a family member to us. She made it so easy for me and for Atlas with all the love and care she gave him and the comforting setting she provided. Since 14 months now, I am very comfortable leaving Atlas to her every day, knowing that she will be providing a loving care in the best way and that Atlas feels so much loved and secure.
Atlas is so happy to spend time with Filiz and his friends. During the weekends and holidays he mentions their names often, trying to tell a story. Filiz has a very nice playroom with lots of different toys, a fantastic garden that they enjoy so much in summer time and she takes them regularly to playgroups. All the games that they play together and his exposure to different kids and older children have made a very positive impact on his development. Although Filiz can speak Atlas’s mother tongue, which is Turkish, she spoke with him mostly in English, which has been excellent. Atlas can now understand and speak equally well in both languages. I am so fascinated to see all the new words, new games, new rhymes etc. he learns every day, thanks to the variety of exposure he gets with Filiz.
We have a very open communication with Filiz and she provides very detailed information about Atlas’s day every day while we are picking him up. Even on the days when we are slightly late, she never rushes the conversation and gives all the details with her observations. We even used to have a daily diary until he was 1 year old. Now, she sends us pictures and videos every day and it is literally the best moment of our working day to see what our dear son is up to and how happy he is playing with his friends. Filiz also makes recommendations to us on how to behave and respond on challenging habits and let us know about the rules she puts in place as examples. I am so happy that some of the first words Atlas have learned were “Please” and “Thank You”.
Once you get to know Filiz and see how happy your child is with her, you cannot even think about changing your childminder. We actually moved our house from Maidenhead to Datchet just to get closer to where Filiz lives rather than looking for alternative childcare nearer to us.
We are so grateful to have found such a trustworthy person and would without any hesitation recommend Filiz Charters for any childcare needs parents may have.

Filiz has looked after my 2 years old daughter and 4 year old son for the last year. My kids love going there, they barely even wave at me at drop off and don't want to leave at pick up, they call her Aunty Filiz, as she is like a member of the family. Filiz takes exceptional care of them, she is a warm and loving person. Filiz keeps them well entertained, her garden and home are well maintained providing a great setting for children. Thank you so much Filiz, we will miss you dearly.

My 2 year old son has been with Filiz since he’s 11 months old and he absolutely loves it. Filiz and her family have created a cosy and welcoming home from home for kids and they go above and beyond to accommodate our working hours and the needs of our son. They all go out To soft play and play parks regularly and there are plenty of toys and activities at home or in the large sunny garden. He also has home cooked meals every day and lots of fresh fruit and veg. We would highly recommend Filiz!

have two little girls(aged 3 & 10 months) who absolutely love spending time with Filiz; in fact the only problem we have is that they never want to leave…which, as you can imagine, is a great sign for a parent! Filiz has created a warm, friendly happy environment for the children, every day is different with trips to local play centres or fun activities at home. The children are given fresh fruit and home cooked meals cooked from scratch each day. I cannot recommend Filiz enough, her home is clean and beautifully spacious for the children...plenty of room for them to run around in, plus a lovely garden area. Filiz’s home is so loving, I know my girls are basically going from home to home when I drop them off.

Like anyone who is embarking on finding childcare for their precious little baby, I was very nervous about finding the right person. As soon as I met Filiz, however, I knew my 11 month old daughter would be happy.
Filiz is warm and welcoming and her aim is to create a home from home environment. My precious daughter fitted straight in. Filiz was happy to adapt her day to baby's needs and naps until she settled and she was full of reassurance and advice. When I tell my daughter in the morning that she is going to see Filiz today, a big smile spreads across her face. She hasn't cried to be left once.
Filiz takes her out and about and gives her a wide range of exciting and interesting experiences. From music time at the library to parks and toddler groups, my daughter has a fun and stimulating day.
I would love to be at home with my daughter but Filiz cares for her as I would if I was with her. She gives her hugs and kisses when she needs them and cooks wonderful, home cooked meals to my very exacting standards (no salt or sugar!). Filiz has a baby cot room upstairs that is nice and dark so my daughter naps really well there too.
Filiz updates me throughout the day with lovely watsapp photos so I can see what she is up to and fills in a diary of her day so I can see her routine and what naps, nappies and food she has had.
Research says that having a pet in the home benefits baby and toddlers social and emotional development. Having Oli the dog at Filiz's is great. It means I don't have to have a pet! and my daughter gets to learn the caring, sharing and affection that being in Oli's company brings.
I can't recommend Filiz's services enough. My daughter has loved being in her care and I am so pleased I found her!

Filiz looked after our two girls for a couple of years, when me and my wife were working in London. Filiz's house very soon became a home from home for our daughters, who absolutely adore her. I now work from home, and both girls are at school full time, so we no longer need childcare. However, the girls never stop reminding me how they had more fun with Filiz than they do with me! We've stayed in touch with Filiz and her family, and see each other often, and the girls still go over for playdates and tea from time to time. If you're looking for a loving family environment for your children whilst you're at work, I'd thoroughly recommend Filiz.
