My Summary
About Me
I am a very energetic and caring person who loves to be socialable and creative. I have so much experience in childcare from newborns to 5 years of age. I love children and always have done, I have been a professional nanny for lovely families and loved every minute. I am a driver with my own car and I live in Takeley. I love to be outside so I can help children to learn as much as they can about their surroundings. I love draw, cut and paste, colour and have fun with children as well as offering lots of love and cuddles. I have been a first time nanny to a family who were very nervous about childcare in general for their first baby, but I am proud to say I understood all of their concerns and put them to rest about everything and got offered the job and we had a very happy successful relationship and are still in contact now. I am a confident person who is very friendly and would love to find a lovely family who I can become a part of and offer them a trustworthy and loyal nanny.
My Experience
I have been a mothers help for 9 months for one family of which I assisted with day to day tasks such as bathing, changing, feeding and playing to help the mother form a routine. I have also been a regular evening and during the day babysitter and for a family in London who are family friends. They have 3 children aged 1,3 and 5. I looked after the 2 eldest boys on many occasions and would take them to the park and watch a nice film of the evening with lots of snuggles. When the new baby came along I looked after her overnight and the day before when she was 11 weeks old and took over all of the tasks and duties required in caring for a newborn. I have been babysitting for over 10 years now and my success has been purely word of mouth recommendations.
I landed my first sole charge nannying job with a family of 2 children aged 2 and 4 years old, I assisted in the washing, cooking, playing, bathing and the school runs. I worked with this family for 8 months and had a lovely bond with the children but the position ended as the family moved to London.
I started a new position with a family who were looking for childcare for their first baby of 8 months. They were very nervous about accepting childcare but we quickly built a strong and trusting relationship and we all settled in to a great routine and I had a special bond with the baby. My duties were general care, nusery duties, baby's washing, bathing, shopping (all babies needs such as food, snacks, milk, clothes and shoes) and I also helped keep the house clean and tidy on a daily basis. I took the baby on playdates with fellow nannies and joined a couple of baby groups as well as regular trips out to feed the ducks and play in the park. I went to both Spain and New York with them as an extra pair of hands and to babysit and be part of the family. Sadly I was recently made redundant due to a change in the families work schedule.
I then worked for a lovely family in Newport, Essex and loved every minute. I had 2 little boys aged 3 and 7 months and was with them for a year and a half and I became the boys godparent and still love watching them grow with their newest baby brother!. My duties included washing, ironing (only if youngest has a sleep or if we are not out for the day), cleaning in general and preparing meals for the boys. I try to be out the house every day even if its just a muddy welly walk or a trip to the park. I left due to the boys starting school.
I was then working for a family in Arkesden. I looked after 2 boys aged 2 and 4. I had a fantastic relationship and still see the boys regularly and the parents too on a social basis. I left a year ago to pursue a new venture of nanny sharing after the family wanted to put the youngest into pre school for the year before school started.
Finally I worked with a lovely family in Stansted for one little girl of 21 months. She’s now 7 and I still do ad hoc childcare for them as and when needed. I was with them until I became a mummy myself and am currently enjoying being a stay at home mum for my nearly 4 year old little girl Nelly and her surprise baby brother Jax who is 15 months. I’m not looking at returning to nannying just yet but will update once I am.
