About Me
I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in the Coundon area of Coventry, offering high-quality childcare in a welcoming, safe, and stimulating home environment.
As a mother to an 11-year-old son, I understand the importance of creating a nurturing space where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive. He is well accustomed to sharing his time and space, and thoroughly enjoys the company of other children.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to ensure each child’s individual learning and development needs are met. Through carefully planned, play-based activities, I support children across all seven areas of learning, helping them grow in confidence and independence.
Children in my care benefit from a balance of structured and child-led play, both indoors and outdoors. We regularly visit local parks, libraries, stay-and-play groups, and soft play centres to enhance social skills and encourage exploration of the wider world.
I am fully insured with public liability cover, and my vehicle is insured for business use. I accept a range of childcare support schemes, including tax-free childcare, childcare vouchers, funded hours, and childcare element of tax credits.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of experience working with children in both home-based and international settings. Throughout my time as a childminder, I have supported children from a variety of cultural backgrounds and with a range of additional needs, always ensuring inclusive practice and tailored learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
My early childhood experience also includes working at summer camps and teaching English as a foreign language in multiple countries. These roles have helped me develop strong communication, behaviour management, and planning skills, which I continue to use in my daily practice as a childminder.
My Qualifications
I am committed to continuous professional development and ensuring the highest standards of care and education. My qualifications include:
Level 3 Early Years Educator – supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
Level 1 Caring for Children – providing a strong foundation in early childhood care
Level 2 Designated Safeguarding Lead – ensuring children's safety and promoting a culture of safeguarding
Paediatric First Aid – fully trained to handle medical emergencies and minor injuries
Advanced Food Hygiene – maintaining safe and hygienic food preparation practices
Enhanced DBS Check (Current) – confirming suitability to work with children
ICO Registered – compliant with data protection regulations
Public Liability Insurance and Business Use Vehicle Insurance – fully covered for professional childcare.

I currently cover Coundon Primary School and Nursery, however, I plan to expand this from September 2025.
