About Me
My name is Susan and I run Rainbow Butterflies Childcare. I am an Ofsted registered Childminder in Farsley, Leeds LS28, with an outstanding grading. I have been registered for over 35 years. I am married and I have three children of my own who are now grown-up.
My Experience
I have over 35 years experience as a Childminder and have also run the local Playgroup for 40 years.
I specialise in Autism and have experience of caring for multiple children with Autism over the past 20 years. I have experience of children with Dyspraxia and I am also prepared to care for children with different SEND. Please ask.
My Qualifications
I am qualified to NVQ level 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development, I hold a level 3 in Special Educational Needs and a level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification plus I am qualified to deliver Makaton signing. I am qualified to teach English as a foreign language and hold an open university certificate in Children’s perspectives of play amongst many other qualifications related to the care of children.
I am trained in PEG feeding, Colostomy procedures and Epilepsy management and administration of rescue medication.
I am fully insured and hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification.
My Availability
My availability is 8:00am to 5:30pm Tuesday to Friday full days, I am not open on Mondays. I am flexible and may accept non funded children on a part time or full time basis.
I currently have funded vacancies available for children aged 2 (where eligible), and 3 and 4 years, offering 15 hours Free Early Years Funding together with 15 hours further entitlement where eligible to total the 30 hours funded childcare places for 3/4 year olds.
