About Me

Hi I’m Steph, I’ve always had a passion for working with children and thoroughly enjoy the challenges and rewards that come with the job. I have decided to become a childminder now I have 2 children of my own but have 11 years experience working with children/young adults.
I am awaiting my Ofsted registration visit but hope to open ‘Curious Kittens Childminding’ in September 2025.

My Experience

I am a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner and Level 4 in Residential Children’s Care. I am First Aid trained, currently working as a residential support worker.
I previously worked at New Fosseway school as a HLTA (higher level teaching assistant). I have various experience with children of all different ages and abilities.
I am working full-time with young people with emotional & behavioural needs which can be very challenging but also very rewarding. I have also worked with children with additional needs for the last 5 years.
Before working at New Fosseway School I worked in St. Christopher's which is a severe additional needs residential school and previous to this a local nursery, Illminster Avenue Specialist Nursery where I gained months of experience as a supply, working in all the classrooms.
