About Me
Hello, my name is Sandra and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder living in Cippenham. I have a 10 year old daughter of my own.
I love my job. We have lots of fun, while learning through play. Our favourite things to do are making a mess with paint, it doesn't matter what you are, we can all get involved. Making creations with junk from around the house. We enjoy various fun activities, singing, dancing, story time, cooking, baking. I have a large garden for the children with comprises of, a playhouse, slide, swings, mud kitchen (children love that) chalk board, magnetic board with numbers and letters and ride on's. We go out daily on trips to local playgroups, softplay, parks and library.
I have a monthly theme, that we use for our learning (i.e Spring - we plant and watch how they grow I follow the EYFS for observations to monitor the child's development.
I work from an online system, for daily diaries, Observations, photo's, holiday plans, news letters, invoicing etc. parents can download the app so they can look at everything at the own leisure.
I carry out school/nursery drop off and pick up's from Cippenham Nursery, Cippenham Infants and Cippenham Primary schools.
I also promote heathy eating, providing snacks, lunches etc, also lots of fresh air and exercise.
My Experience
Having obtained my Ofsted registration at the end of 2011 I've been minding since then. References are available.
We regularly attend group sessions which allow the children to mix with their peers and develop the skills required for social interaction.
At home I have a cabin as our play area, with kitchen, sleep space and toilet. It’s filled with toys & books and Whatever the weather I have plenty of material for arts and craft sessions and an ever expanding selection of educational games and resources.
I have been childminding for 9 years and I have cared for children from all backgrounds including children with special needs, to me all my children have been special.

My Availability
I am flexible in terms of my availability although my ideal working hours would be 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday. I'm happy to take part in school runs as long as they do not affect the commitments I have already made to the children in my care.
I am happy to do the occasional evening babysitting to help out my parents.
I have ability availability, once we are able to go back to work so please feel free to contact me.

I can accept Tax free childcare which is provided by the Govenment and is available to working parents. They can significantly reduce the amo Firunt you need to pay to your childminder so if you need assistance in obtaining them, please let me know

My little girl started with Sandra when she was 18 months old after a traumatic 6 months at a nursery where drop of consisted of crying everyday. From day 2 at Sandra’s it was clear to see my daughter was back to her happy self and loved her days at there. Sandra looked after my daughter for 2 years, we were so sad to leave but had to due to starting nursery school in a different area. Sandra provides structure to a fun filled day. My daughter was able to enjoy genuine love and care from Sandra, fun activities, days out and the company of other children whilst learning and growing into a wonderful preschooler. I received daily diaries and photo updates which made going to work easier. I will be forever grateful that we found such an amazing childminder as the positive impact she had on my daughters early years meant she was set up well to thrive in school. She’s now 8 years old and would still jump at a chance to have a day at Sandra’s in the holidays.

Sandra looked after my first born from 12 months old and you couldn’t ask for more from a childminder. They are always out and about doing something and if not out, then at home playing with one of her many toys, doing arts and crafts or playing in the garden. My now 4 year old absolutely loved going to Sandra’s and she definitely helped develop him with his speech and other essential skills.
That’s why I had no hesitation in sending my second child to Sandra who has been with her since he was 12 months and who equally loves going there. Would highly recommend.

Sandra is a wonderful childminder, my daughter adores her and it’s clear that Sandra cares just as much about the children she looks after.
They have so much fun, crafts, outings, celebrating special days and occasions. She’s learned so much with Sandra and she really helped bring Isla along when she first started talking.
She’s not only fantastic with my daughter but she was a great support to me and made going back to work so much easier than I expected it to be

My little boy has been with Sandra since he was 13 months. He absolutely adores her and we know he is in a very safe and loving environment that is full of fun. Despite moving further away recently we still travel to Sandra's as none of us could bare the idea of him going anywhere else. Highly recommended.
