About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Parkwood Gillingham, I offer a high quality of care in a safe, secure and loving environment. I have a clean, warm homely environment for your child to grow and thrive in. I consider myself to be patient, friendly and positive. I have a vast wealth of knowledge to draw on from my career with adults with special needs, to being a mum myself. I believe that children should be able to grow and learn in a fun and playful enviroment, I will work hard to ensure that your children have fun and are safe in my care.
Just a little about me and our home, I have a playroom that is just used for the children, we have an air conditioning unit and also central heating, the play room leads directly out into our garden.
For the little ones:
We take part in activities such as toddler groups, walks in the woods and trips to the park, sensory centres, sure start centres and also swimming. We also go on “bigger days out” to places such as the beach, farms, the dockyard and the zoo.
We bake and have messy play such as painting, we also do focused and structured learning like maths, English and discovering the world around us but we are big believers in children learning through play and so always try to make it as fun as we can.
I have a well equipped garden including a slide, bikes and play kitchen. In the summer we love getting the paddling pool out and other water activities.
I am registered with the food standards agency and love to make homemade meals, I get the children involved with the cooking , so they can learn not only how to cook the food they eat but also about the food they are eating.
I have a daughter who is 11, she is very loving and caring and loves playing with other children.
My Experience
Most of my career has involved working with adults with challenging behavior, this has given me the opportunity to learn to deal with situations that are very challenging and taught me how to stay calm and be patient in some of the most volatile times in a person’s life. I have to think on my feet often and know how to defuse situations to avoid escalation. I am also a mum myself.
My Qualifications
Level 2 in health and social care
Level 3 in sport
Level 3 in home based child care
Level 3 in child protection

Our daughter has been with Jenna for a few months now. After never leaving our children with anyone it was a difficult transition for me but it has been an absolute dream, a home from home shall we call it. I wish I found her sooner. We could never ask for more. They’re always out doing fun fulfilling things more than I could ever ask. 5 ⭐️ s from us.

Our daughter has been with Jenna full time since she was 9 months old and is about to turn 5 at the end of year. We came to Jenna after having a not great experience with a local nursery. We can’t thank Jenna enough. Our daughter has been well taken care of and Jenna’s is her home away from home. We will all miss her come September time when our daughter starts school and if by chance we decide to have another child we will defo ask Jenna to provide childcare again. It’s difficult being a working parents but Jenna has made it much easier, keeping us informed, sending pics etc. We have never had to worry when our daughter has been at Jenna’s.

That was first time i left my baby with childminder and she had great time with Jenna! Lovely friendly girls and environment !

My little one has been with Baby Bears for 4 months. Jenna is really reliable and acomendating if you have an emergency and your child needs looking after. My little one loves spending time there is always learning something new and always happy. Couldn't ask for a more trust worthy childminder.

I've been using jenna for a few weeks now and can not fault her one bit. My daughter absolutely loves going with her. Comes home full of joy after having such a fun day. Always kept up to date with their activities. Would recommend this wonderful lady to everyone :)
