About Me

I started my childcare journey in 2013 where I started as an apprentice at the nursery I am currently at, I qualified level 2 in 2014 whilst working in the baby room over this time period. I then gained experience within the toddler room as a deputy room leader whilst I studied my level 3 in child care. I later went on to become the room leader of this age group before putting my knowledge and experience further in my practice in the younger pre school room as a room leader, I later progressed further in my career to a third in charge of the nursery in the pre school room where I currently work. Through my eight years of experience I have gained the knowledge to support children of all ages ranging from 3 months to five years, I have also gained experience in assisting the management where needed for office based roles due to my promotion.

I believe that children need the solid foundations, care and support to be able to thrive at a young age, this has enabled me to support children across these ages in achieving their set next steps. I have experience and hold a certificate in SENCO as well as health and safety for the nursery. I have a good understanding of the EYFS and how to use this effectively to support children in their progress.

I am an enthusiastic, caring and passionate individual who puts this into their everyday practice, I am always looking for ways to improve myself in my roles and am keen to learn knew skills that enable me to support myself and the children further. I have good leadership skills and knowledge that I am still eager to progress further.
