About Me
Sue & Ron’s House Childcare is a small home based childcare setting that has been operating since 2005. We are a husband and wife team both qualified and registered having many years experience between us. We have a dedicated playroom with child sized furniture, direct access to the garden and self selection toy storage. We offer a good quality home from home child friendly environment.
We do regular visits to the library, Parks, beach and offer other outdoor learning experiences such as bus, train journeys. We have an outdoor classroom where we grow our own vegetables with the children, learn about wildlife and enjoy natural play.
We offer FEEE funded places at no additional cost to parents. We do not ask for top up or insist you pay for additional hours. If you want to use just your funded hours and we have a space to meet your needs we will not ask you for any additional fees.
Both Childminders are level three trained in childcare, hold full paediatric first aid training and Sue holds a level three senco training for additional needs.
We currently offer after school pick ups/ drop offs at certain local schools in the Harwich area.

My Experience
I have been working in childcare for over 20yrs, first as a nanny, then I moved onto the area of education working in a nursery school as a nursery nurse, then a nursery manager. I registered as a childminder in 2005 and have been working ever since.
My Qualifications
-NNEB level three childcare qualification.
-Level three pre-school diploma in childcare.
-Level Three SENCo trained.
-Ofsted approved paediatric first aid certificate.
-Level 3 safeguarding training
-Autism awareness, Makaton levels 1-5.
-Diploma in child psychology.
-Heuristic play training, naural play and speech & language training.
