My Qualifications

I believe I am a good nanny because I care about the child’s development based on playing thus stimulating his growth physically and mentally in a pleasant way.
So far, I have developed my own individual way of communicating with children. My major skills are patience and intense observation, therefore the child is given the necessary time and space to become more familiar with my personality.

My examples of 3 outdoors activities:
~ Games with a ball. Combination of pleasure and development of physique
~ Visiting children’s playground, and if parents approve, a visit at the zoo and possibly a farm with animals. As a result, children diversify their environment, observing and learning from nature itself.
~ Gardening (if there is a garden at home), the child comes in contact with soil, learns to conform with another world much smaller than the child is.

My examples of 3 indoors activities:
~ On a large piece of paper attached to the floor, are placed scattered pastels, pencils, pieces of paper from magazines picturing animals, trees, food etc. The child is left to choose and then with my guidance and materials subject to its age, we create something together.
~ Picking up a variety of books we read together is one of its preferences and later on, based on the story of the book, we’ll continue with an activity that relates to the book. For example: if the book talks about animals we gather all the toy animals the child has, we group them in sizes and we analyse their characteristics.
~ Exercises based on body movement. The use of music is really helpful at this stage. Also, using a ribbon, I create a pattern on the floor, on which we move, walk and/or dance.
