About Me
I am a 44 year old, married mom to two daughters aged 16 and 13. We live in a semi-detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac in Wombourne. We are a pet-free and smoke-free household.
My Experience
Prior to becoming a registered childminder in July 2015, I worked as a Senior Teacher and Leader in a Wolverhampton Primary School for over 14 years. I have taught children, of all abilities, in each year group from Nursery to when they leave primary school in Year 6. My specialism is in Special Educational Needs, having been SEN co-ordinator at the same school for nearly nine years. As part of this role I was awarded the National Certificate for SEN co-ordination by the University of Birmingham.
My Qualifications
In addition to my teaching qualifications (BA QTS and Post Graduate Certificate in Special Education Needs co-ordination), I have also attended the Local Authority childminding training sessions which include Safeguarding, Business and EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) from birth to five. I have a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate and both my husband and myself have the enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks (previously Criminal Records Bureau).
I also have a Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
My Availability
I currently do not have any Early Years vacancies for the foreseeable future. Please contact me if you wish to join my waiting list for future places or require wrap around care for local schools.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.75 per hour
I charge by the hour, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.30am and 5.00pm (including school holidays - except Mondays and Fridays). Anything outside of these hours, is double pay per hour.
I offer a 10% discount for the oldest sibling on the standard hourly rate.

We can’t thank Steph enough for the care she’s provided for our son for the last couple of years.
He started his time at Steph’s Kiddiwinks at 9 months old and he has had such a wonderful time with her. Steph plans lots of lovely activities for the children and provides lots of engaging play experiences. The children are regularly taken out and about to visit different places in the local area and our son always talked excitedly about the places he’d been and what he’d been up to with Steph and his friends.
Steph goes above and beyond simply providing childcare. She genuinely cares about all the children and wants the best for them even after they leave for their next steps.
We initially chose Steph because of her experience as an early years teacher and this absolutely comes through with the quality of the provision she provides. She is incredibly professional and nurturing and we absolutely would recommend Steph’s Kiddiwinks to family and friends.
