My Summary

My Experience

Having always wanted to work with children I started my childcare career in a nursery where I stayed for 5 years. I worked my way up to become a room leader and a senior nursery nurse. My experience covers babies up to primary school age. It was during my time at the nursery that I qualified with an NVQ childcare level 3. I also attended many other courses and have gained numerous certificates. (Please see below).

I decided I would like to have a more personal relationship with children and began a Nanny role. My first family were in Cambridge, it was a 4 day a week role which lasted until the child went to school.

I then nannied for a family in central Cambridge, 3 days a week, with children aged 5 and 2. This role was more involved, school runs, cooking, keeping the children entertained with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities appropriate to the age and stage of development. This job came to an end when the family moved away.

I nannied for a family in Lincoln full time, looking after 3 year old twins and a 2 year old, in this role I worked variable hours. I planned day to day activities ranging from painting and baking to going out on various adventures. I prepared meals, help with shopping and perform odd jobs round the house including children’s washing, sorting rooms and toys etc. I also did childminder runs, bath times and bed times regularly.

I nannied for a family in central Cambridge, 4 days a week with children aged 3 and 5. I planned activities daily, especially craft based as the children loved arts and crafts. We went on regular outings, meet up with other children for play dates and did lots of imaginary play. I also did school runs and prepare family meals occasionally.

With two of the families I have also done overnight stays when the parents have gone away with work.

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
