About Me
I'm a mother of 4 and a grandmother to 12. I've been a Childminder 2000 and I absolutely love my job. I'm very passionate about providing a loving, warm, learning space to the children in my care and their families. This role offers me new challenges that I am able to embrace due to my own personal experiences with my family as well as the past and present children in my care; this I believe makes me highly skilled to deal with children. I am up to date with all the mandatory training as well as non-compulsory courses. The children in my care participate in both indoors and outdoors activities such as messy play, arts and crafts, music, park, library, museums, soft play area and play and stay groups. I aim to keep my practice diverse and help the children in my care develop in the skills they'll need now and in the future. I have a nursery set up in my home that targets all children's key and specific areas that is in line with Early Years Foundation; which the children enjoy. I arrange parents evening where we can discuss their child's development and ensuring that myself and the parent/s are helping the child meet their developmental targets. I don't drive however I do have a car seat if needed to access a car. I'm close to local bus stops and live right opposite the local park. I also have no pets.

My Availability
I currently have only one space for a under 1 year old and one space for an under 3 years old, any days of the week. I'm flexible for any other age group as well as pick-ups at Harris Primary Academy East Dulwich School only.

Nordia is such a caring, loving, warm, motherly care provider for my toddler. She meets the early years criteria on a day to day with all the activities she does with them and is great at communicating observations made throughout the day. Not only is she meeting the criteria, she has taught my son interpersonal skills that will carry him in life. She’s literally like a grandmother figure for my son and she goes above and beyond what is required from her. You can really see that she cares and takes proud in her role as a care provider. It’s not just her job role but her life and it shows. My son is always happy when I collect him and is always proud to show me his work for the day. I cannot honestly fault her. It is also amazing how she manages to keep them all entertained for the entire day. She has a room allocated for the children in her care and it’s like a mini nursery within her home, it’s incredible. If you’re looking for a home environment away from home, Nordia is the right person.
