Woodlands Childminding provides a home from home, fun, loving, safe and welcoming environment to learn, develop and thrive. We have lots of fun learning through activities and which meet the children's individual developmental needs.
I am fortunate to live in a lovely countryside setting surrounded by fields, which is perfect for learning about nature and our natural surroundings. I have a dedicated playroom, large secure garden with access to lots of toys, a climbing frame, sunken trampoline and wildlife pond and wildflower meadow.
I am always self reflecting and improving things within the setting to better the children's learning experience.
My Experience
First of all, I am a mother of two girls age 11 and 8. I have been a childminder since April 2015 and in July 2017 on my very first Ofsted inspection, I was given an 'outstanding' grade which I am extremely proud of and I retained this at my last inspection.
I have looked after children with allergies and billingual children.

I am open 7.30am - 5pm Monday - Thursday throughout the year, although out of hours are negotiable.
I currently have full and part time spaces available for under 5's.

I absolutely can not rave about Amy enough!!
Firstly her setting is amazing! Fantastic garden with different areas for children to explore, an inside area especially for the children with lots of toys and things to do. Amy often takes the children on little adventures to the farm, park, woods etc. which they absolutely love!
Amy provides such a loving caring setting which makes everyone feel so much better about leaving their children, especially for the first time!
My daughter has been attending Woodlands since she was 8 months (now 1) and LOVES going! She gets super excited in the car, starts kicking and is desperate to get out of her car seat as soon as we arrive on the drive, jumps straight into Amy's arms... and that's it.. not bothered in the slightest I am off... just wants to get inside and see Amy's daughters and play. She has excelled since starting at Woodlands, her confidence has sky rocketed, both socially and independently, her speech and communication skills a like.
Amy is extremely understanding and very easy to talk to, could not recommend a better childminder!!

My daughter's have never had been in any childcare and Amy was just amazing with them. You can see how much she cares and is able to connect with children.
There was even no tears at the second day I dropped her there.
She keeps me posted during the day with photos. She is very professional and has all activities all very well planned for them.
My daughter's felt in love with her and she has their well being always at the top. She has a full folder about their development, my youngest is learning sign language and she started to learn straight away to communicate with her. Just amazing ❤️
An incredible lady that you can trust that she will do the best for your children and that's all you can ask.
