About Me

Hi, I'm Kelley, an Ofsted registered childminder in Keynsham. I'm also a trained N.N.E.B nursery nurse, qualifying in 1989 from Cliftons Nursery Nurses College. I have worked as a private Nanny and then as a Nursery nurse. I also became the Deputy Officer in Charge after 6 months. I became a childminder in 2000 after I became a Mummy myself.
I am married with 3 children, a cockapoo called Teddy, two geckos and Bruce the chameleon!! Always a hit with my minded children! Teddy is a fluffy bundle of fun and is incredible with children. In fact he likes to think he's one of the gang!
I base my business in a family friendly way and have had many comments of how the parents feel I welcome their children into a homely environment.
I belong to Keynsham Childminding group where we support each other as well as planning different ventures for our children.
I have a full Paediatric First Aid qualification. I work term time only but have some flexibility if an emergency arose.
Children in my care have a good variety of toys to help meet all levels of learning. I support each child at their own abilities and encourage new levels of learning. We experience all forms of play whether it's messy play, craft, educational, music, stories or outside. Our days are full of fun and action packed or quieter and calm depending on the children's needs that particular day.

Learning diaries are used to show each child's development from Day One until they move on. I send photos of your child during the day to keep you updated on the fun we've been having.
My husband is registered as my assistant to cover any emergency if any were to arise. He works for the Ambulance Service which the children love. He holds his Paediatric First Aid and is DBS checked.
