My Summary
About Me
Hello I'm Kerry ,I am mom to three great children ,my eldest two attend senior school and my youngest Sophie who is now 2. I can offer a warm ,loving environment where your little one can play freely in a home from home setting whilst being nurtured and encouraged to develop key skills for future learning . We enjoy weekly outings to local parks and playgroups as well as daily outdoor play In my secure , private garden . I am happy to provide a wide variety of healthy snacks in addition to a home made evening meal if required . I have a lovely ,happy home with huge amounts of laughter and masses of fun .
My Experience
I have over 13 years of childcare experience as a parent /Aunty and over 8 years of work experience as a Supporting Teaching and Learning Assistant In both primary schools and nurseries . I understand how important it is for both parents and children to have an environment where they feel comfortable . Parents need to feel safe in the knowledge that their child /children are being cared for in line with their own preferences and to a standard that will enable their child to succeed .Children need to know that their care provider will protect , care for and meet their needs when they are away from their parents . I pride myself on the knowledge that each child is treated equally and that all needs are being meet based on their individual needs . I have worked across age groups from birth to teenage years including with children with additional needs in main stream schools and behaviour management units . As a mom I have experienced the 'terrible twos ' 3 times , all the way through to teenage tantrums and everything in between ...potty training ,weaning and no sleeping . On the flip side I have also watched all my children learn to crawl /walk ,learn to feed themselves ,start new schools, make new friends and am now watching my eldest grow into independent young woman . We really do have a superb bond and I couldn't be prouder .

Kerry looked after my daughter (aged one) once a week for a few months when I returned to work following maternity leave. She initially started in a nursery but when she did not settle I decided to try a childminder for a more intimate setting.
After our experience with the nursery I was really concerned about leaving her in another childcare setting but Kerry was really patient, understanding and reassuring. She listened to all of my worries and bent over backwards to ensure our little one settled with her. She consistently showed enthusiasm, attention to detail and compassion in everything she did. She would tailor the day to suit my daughter if she was unsettled and was able to calm her down when she was initially going through separation anxiety. She communicated brilliantly and I loved getting regular updates and a diary at the end of the day detailing everything my daughter had done. She was always very professional and all of the children I saw in her presence seemed really happy. Her home was always clean and well presented and I loved all of the children's artwork on display. She offered home cooked, healthy meals and finger foods tailored to my daughter's needs. I loved all the activities she did with the children and the option of forest school on a Tuesday.
I had planned on leaving my daughter with Kerry for the foreseeable future but my own parents who have recently retired requested to look after her therefore I am hoping she will return to Kerry's care when she is older and Kerry has an opening for more days.
Thank you so very much for all of your hard work and care with my daughter!
