Loving and caring home from home

My eldest child was with Michelle until he went to preschool and she provided a loving and caring home from home. She was extremely flexible and you felt like she was an extension of the family! She clearly loves her job and the children so any family should be happy to send their children here!

Competent, reliable, and caring childminder

Our son has been with Michelle for a year and a half and there has never been a day when he did not want to go to hers. She is a highly competent childminder and very experienced with children. Thanks to her wealth of experience, she is always there for advice on things like toilet training, teething, etc.

She is proactive and has a very clear idea about what she wants to do and what activities suit the children in her care. Their day involves a good balance of activities and socialisation but also ‘down time' in a home environment playing with lots of toys. She keeps them busy by taking them to local playgroups in the mornings on most days of the week, to local parks, occasionally to soft play, and once a week they’ve been going to a toddler dance class. In the afternoons they get to play at her house, and once it is warmer outside, they get to spend lots of time in her well-equipped garden. She sets up some lovely tuff tray activities for them, and they also do a lot of arts & crafts activities, for example finger painting activities to celebrate holidays/important dates throughout the year.

We are regularly being kept up to date with photos so we can see what they are doing, which we value.

She encourages the children to try and do things independently, and we are very pleased she is doing a wonderful job at getting them to eat lots of different types of fruit every day - thanks to her, our son now actively asks for fruit whenever we go to the supermarket!

She has been very thoughtful in acknowledging special days like the kids' birthdays and holidays.

Knowing that our son is happy and being well cared for is such a fantastic support. We would highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a competent, reliable, caring childminder in the area.

A wonderful childminder

Both of my children have been with Michelle- the eldest since she was just 10 months old and I had no hesitation in her caring for my second. Michelle is a wonderful childminder, she cares for the children totally and really has become like a member of family. She had always made sure they get exercise, going to parks and engaging them at her home and by attending playgroups. She provides them with healthy food and her home is a clean and safe environment.

I would heartily recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a childminder.

Wonderful Childminder that goes above and beyond.

Our son has been in Michelle’s care for the past 18 months and we couldn't be happier with the care he has received. She offers a very loving, homely, personalised and educational settling.
Every morning, he skips happily into her house without looking back. Michelle recognises that he is a child that loves the outdoors so will always ensure they spend lots of time on outdoor activities, so he gets what he needs. Michelle has also nurtured his inner creativity with plenty of craft activities, which he really loves. We have been most impressed with how our son's language and knowledge has developed during his time with her, his numbers, colours, animals etc have come on leaps and bounds and he loves learning about these things from Michelle. We very much appreciate all the updates through the day with photos of his activities. Michelle also offers a super nutritious menu, so we have confidence that he gets a balanced diet in her care. Our son also is extremely well behaved, in no small part because of Michelle keeping clear but loving boundaries for him to follow.
We are truly devastated to be leaving Michelle's care, this is only because we are moving out of the area, if we could take her with us, then we would! She is pretty much part of the family and recommend her highly to anyone considering a childminder in the area.

Excellent

Michelle has not only been a great mother-in-law, but a great childcare provider. Looking after my son twice a week from 9 months of age whilst I went back to work. The amount he has learnt has been amazing. He has a healthy mix of both nursery and being with his Grandmum, it works perfectly that Michelle is a childminder as he has gone to many baby and play groups, had the opportunity to meet a range of children, of all different backgrounds and ages and loves to play and learn from them. Anyone who has Michelle as a Childminder will be extremely lucky, with the care, attention and love given to each child. I have seen this for myself, that the children in her care are all treated as though they are her own. There is not favouritism and my little one is treated with the same boundaries and rules as the children in her care on that day, this is a trait that I love as my little one gets to see how all children should be loved and treated, equally and well.
